CREW PROFILE

Kerry Lynn and Bazza have owned and operated Promenade for the last 12 years. Come June of 2009 we will be opening it up for a limited number of groups to enjoy it either fully crewed or as a captain/dive master only yacht! We have had a great break working the yacht part time the last couple years, while we have had Richard and Lisa on board, but we have missed all our charters and guests as well, not to mention the SCUBA diving and living on the water full time. With the many changes in the economy, and the yacht being finally paid off, we feel comfortable opening ourselves up to new options. This is very exciting, as Promenade will be the largest, best equipped multi hull ever made available in this fashion! Kerry Lynn originally trained in advertising and public relations for large hotels and dinner theaters. After living and working in various countries, from England, Belgium and Germany to Canada, the United States and Mexico, she operated a successful restaurant for six years before deciding that a different way of life was definitely in order. After teaching SCUBA and kayaking in the Bay of Fundy's frigid waters, she decided to make her trips south a permament way of life. Over the past ten years with Promenade, Kerry has completed many Caribbean yacht charters. Kerry holds her MCA Yachtmaster Offshore, is STCW95 compliant and has been a SCUBA Instructor for many years, with thousands of dives with underwater photography being a particular passion. She is very eager to share her part of charter paradise with you. She has a passion for the out of the way spots in the British VIrgin Islands that she has learnt over the years. Barry (Bazza) originally hails from Australia and has been sailing for 35 years. Baz spent 20 year in trade school for various mechanics, holds about 14 different papers for welding to diesel mechanic, and as well has built several boats, including Alley Cat, a 37 foot catamaran that he sailed around the east coast of Australia for 18 months. Besides the fact that he can sail or fix anything on a yacht, he is an avid SCUBA diver and has a love of seeing new places. Bazza not only holds a local British Virgin Islands captains licence, but was the first person to obtain a MCA approved engineering license here in the British Virgin Islands. Bazza is a PADI SCUBA instructor and has an excellent old bottle collection that he has spent many hours underwater looking for. He is a patient and competent teacher in everything from sailing to fishing. The upgrade in quality and innovations he has brought to the yacht over the years is amazing. Simeon, acts as First Mate and is also a Dive Instructor, who is back for his second stint on Promenade. Hailing from Scotland, he has been a firm favorite with guests in years gone by. Simeon has instructed diving all over the world, and is now working on his Captains License. We are truly glad to have him with us again, and know that everyone else will enjoy his quiet sense of humor and easy manner as much as we do. Not to mention between the two men the fabulous Australian and Scottish accents! You can be assured that you will receive caring, friendly, safe and professional knowledge at all times. We love sharing the out of the way places that we know in the BVI and specialize in casual charters where you can take your shoes off and immediately feel at home.
