Captain
Jaco Brand

JACO GREW UP IN SOUTH AFRICA’S WINE COUNTRY, STELLENBOSCH. He eventually moved to Cape Town to pursue his love for the ocean with sailing in the shadows of the famous Table Mountain, where from 18 – 22 years of age, he worked aboard a day-sail charter catamaran. Jaco then entered the world of delivering newly launched catamarans from the builder in Cape Town, to exotic destinations such as La Paz (Baja), Tortola, Croatia, Mallorca, and the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. He has over 85,000 nautical miles of ocean crossings to add to his credit. His career took him to a position as 1st Mate, aboard a 100 foot Sailing Yacht cruising around Germany, Denmark and Holland, and the entire Mediterranean Sea during the summer of 2010. Eventually, Jaco left Italy bound for the British Virgin Islands. Very keen on watersports activities, he enjoys wakeboarding, surfing, sailing, snorkeling, and of course the latest craze - paddle boarding - Anything to do with the ocean.
