ALLEGRIA, previously named FLAMINGO DAZE, was built by Hakvoort and delivered to her owner in 2004, she later underwent a refit in 2016.

ALLEGRIA can accommodate 11 guests in 5 cabins consisting of a primary suite with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities located on the main deck, 3 cabins with a double bed and en-suite bathroom facilities and a cabin with a twin bed and a pullman bed and en-suite bathroom facilities.

Craig Turnbull

Captain

Craig is from Cape Town, a wonderful tourist destination. After high school, Craig joined the South African Navy. There he served as a deck officer for over 14 years. He was in command of a Torpedo Recovery Vessel, which specialized in dive training. In 1990 Craig served with the Chilean navy, sailing with the training ship B.E. Esmeralda in the South Pacific. After the navy, Craig converted his qualifications to pursue a career on motor yachts. For the previous five years before being promoted to Captain onboard Allegria, Craig had been employed as mate on various vessels in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. He has now served on Allegria for more than 8 years and currently holds a masters 3,000-ton license. Craig enjoys the outdoors and lives a healthy lifestyle, which complements his future in the mega yacht industry.

Ivan was born in Rijeka, Croatia on the island of Krk. He followed the commercial maritime route of engineering after finishing his maritime education in Croatia and worked on oil tankers for 8 years. Ivan came over to yachting in 2011 and has been serving as an engineer ever since. This has allowed him to travel and work at the same time. His hobbies include skiing, crossfit, wake-boarding and riding motorbikes. Ivan recently got married and is looking forward to starting a family.

Nic was born in Gordon's Bay, South Africa and grew up next to the ocean, enjoying diving and body boarding as a teenager. After completing his schooling and national service, Nic spent time as a dive master on a sail boat in the Red Sea. He then crossed the Atlantic and worked on a busy charter yacht in the Caribbean. His interest in engineering grew and he now holds a Y3 engineering certificate. Nic's hobbies include snorkeling, diving, reading, cooking, collecting red wine, and DIY home improvements. He has served on-board for over 2 years.

Max was born and raised on the northern beaches of Sydney, Australia. He grew up surfing or spending time on his family motor boat, either fishing or exploring. After completing his schooling, Max spent his time snow boarding at a competitive level, until a bad knee injury put a stop to that. After recovering from the surgery, he followed his brother into the exciting world of motor yachting in 2007. He has climbed the ranks over the years and now holds a 3000 ton Chief Mate's ticket. Max enjoys sports, traveling and meeting new people along the way.

Kris is a skillful, colorful chef with vast experience in cooking and provisioning onboard a variety of yachts. He spent the last ten years working as sole chef on charter boats. Working as a charter chef has given him a comprehensive knowledge in most cuisines. French, Italian, Scandinavian, Russian, Indian, Japanese, English, American,
Dutch, German, Iranian, Arabic are only a few of the nationalities that Kris has catered loves to cook. Locating the best local produce and prepare it to perfection is his specialty. Kris looks forward to meeting guests from different places with different needs and aims to put a smile on their faces each day. These are just couple of the reasons Kris really loves his job. In his free time, he enjoys free-diving and skiing.

Ania was born in Poland, but immigrated to the USA as a young teenager. After a successful career as a business owner and spending the last six years in the healthcare field, managing a large medical facility, Ania decided to challenge herself to yet another opportunity. She prides herself on attention to detail and creativity, while providing the highest level of service. Ania is excited about welcoming you aboard the beautiful “Allegria”, and passionate about making your experience and journey with us a memorable one.

Luna grew up in the coastal town of Knysna and has always been drawn to water. Prior to her career in yachting, she worked in political administration and pursued her LLB degree through the University of South Africa. A deep desire for travel and adventure eventually saw her joining the industry and has recently joined Allegria. Luna loves reading and writing in her spare time, unless she is hiking or sampling the local cuisines from around the world.

Pamela was born in Lima, Peru. Her family immigrated to the USA when she was 13 years old. Following her schooling, Pam found employment in companies that specialized in servicing the mega yacht industry, both in uniforms and boat products. After many years of being land based, she decided to make the change to serve on the water and travel to new places. Pam enjoys fitness and travel and the culinary arts.

Jonathan grew up on the north east coast of South Africa. After school, he obtained a BA degree in philosophy, economics and psychology. In 2013, after university, Jonathan joined the yachting industry and has thus far traveled the east coast of the USA and the Mediterranean. He enjoys being on the ocean, sports and traveling.

Waldo grew up in Knysna, South Africa. He owned his own micro finance business for over 10 years before deciding to leave the office and make his love for the water and boating a more permanent fixture in his life. Waldo is fairly new to the industry having started in 2016, but is looking forward to making a career out of it. He has a great love for nature and enjoys flying drones and photography.
