Captain Frank Young

Captain Frank Young was born and raised in the Florida Keys and the ocean has always been a huge part of his life.  His father collects tropical fishes and sharks for public aquariums and introduced Frank to the seaman lifestyle including fishing and diving at a very early age.  Per Frank he could swim well before he could walk and his first word spoken was “fish”.

At the age of 14 Frank scrounged up enough spare cash to purchase a 13’ Boston Whaler and after that, he was hooked.  Over the years he has progressed to master much larger vessels and his passion for the ocean and everything it has to offer has grown.

Captain Frank is very safety oriented, hard working, and dedicated to his work aboard Andiamo.  He was involved with the yacht for the last 6 months of construction in Kaohsiung, Taiwan; completed the commissioning process in Ft. Lauderdale and is now running trips for the owners and charter guests out of South Florida and the Bahamas.

This is truly a labor of love for Frank and anyone that steps foot onboard Andiamo can easily attest to his enthusiasm.  He would love to share this wonderful experience along with his wealth of knowledge of the ocean with as many people as possible.
