Nothing short of a modern day legend in the sailing world, this 47 metre ketch was the first Perini to circumnavigate the globe, took on the infamous “perfect storm” and has visited both the Arctic and the Antarctic in her distinguished career. Completely up to date with two major refits, she continues her worldwide travels.
In her 2000 refit she received a new carbon fibre in-boom furling system, a new sail wardrobe, including fully battened main and mizzen sails, carbon foils on the foresail, staysail and fisherman, complete update of the sail handling system, installation of underwater lighting and complete overhaul or replacement of all major operating systems. Further work in 2004 saw her fly bridge extended and a large custom designed spa tub installed, the complete replacement of all navigation, communication, audio and video systems with state of the art equipment, all worldwide, including on board wireless computer internet and e-mail access. In 2006 all sailing gear was updated and Andromeda was again supplied with a new sail wardrobe. In the fall of 2008 during her annual yard period she'll receive a full rig refit and all sails will be sent out for servicing.
With an interior offering uncompromising elegance with style and pedigree, the yacht has spacious accommodation for 9 guests comprising of a full width master stateroom with study and 3 further guest cabins of two double and one twin. In 2004, the interior was completely re-done with new onyx in all the heads and the highest quality fabrics throughout.
She is now fully MCA compliant and ABS A-1 certified for worldwide ocean cruising, equipped with the latest technology. Nevertheless, despite these changes, great care has been taken to respect her heritage and tradition, ensuring that she remains perhaps the most renowned and most beautiful Perini in the fleet.

ANDROMEDA LA DEA Testimonials
Italy, June 2011
Happy New Year to you and your crew Captain. I must tell you that as I look back on 2011 " Andromeda" gave me one of the absolute most dynamic, exciting and relaxing journeys EVER! I find myself reflecting back on that trip frequently for many reasons. Thank you once again. A
I spoke my client this morning and he reports he and his guests had a very enjoyable time onboard “ A NDROMEDA LA DEA ” in spite of the somewhat unpleasant weather. As I expected, he got on with very well with Captain Aeneas and he felt all the crew were a quality team with no exceptions.
We had a marvellous time on board and were extremely well looked after by Mac and his crew whom I could recommend to anybody. With many thanks for your help in organising the charter.
Having been lucky enough (after a 28 day holiday on a super yacht with friends and family) to have been served breakfast, lunch and dinner (including in-between snacks) by the most wonderful of chefs - Mr Tony Hall - I couldn't help myself from writing a few words of gratitude and recommendations for the delights that we were served over our voyage.
At no point were we served the same dish twice and every meal was a culinary delight of combined flavours and presentation.
No cuisine was too complicated or too exotic for Mr Tony, from all corners of the globe and everything within that - from Thai to Indian, from Meditteranean to Japanese all was delivered with love and to perfection.
Thankyou Chef, looking forward to our next voyage together,
A bientot, Arriverderci and Adios,
Till the next time
Yours
Sir M & Lady I x
