Crew

James Bailie

Captain

Captain James Bailie – James started out as a U.S. Navy seal back in the late eighty’s, specializing in all waterborne operations. As an advanced combat diving instructor, skydiver, dive master and rescue diver, his sense for adventure, traveling and the outdoors have always been a passion. James worked as security manager for a couple of years, developing security protocols in the Middle East, but the water lured him back to obtain his USCG Master with sailing and commercial towing endorsement. James served as a mate on a 55’ sailing yacht which introduced him to larger vessels and through the years climbed the ladder to having his hand as captain at the helm. He has been a crew member and captain of motor and sailing yachts and always puts safety as his number one priority. He is a responsible team player, always ready to help.

Diego has always enjoyed being around the water. He also loves fishing and ‘playing’ with the water toys, as he says, showing the guests a good time is not a job, but a full time favorite thing to do. Diego managed and worked for Boat Rental Company in Miami for many years and from there on found his position as mate on various size vessels. Diego’s last position was on M/Y Dorothy Ann, which also included land based responsibilities of managing a large estate and staff on a private island. He mostly enjoys the navigational aspects of his position, yet, setting out the toys, driving the tender and going fishing is his favorite times on board. Diego lives in Boca Raton and is fluent in 4 languages.

Chef Linkie Marais – Chef Linkie prides herself in having a great passion for food, being an accomplished chef, lifestyle expert and TV personality. After being a finalist in the popular show “Food Network Star season 8”, she started traveling and touring the country participating in high end events and even had an opportunity to catered to President Obama. She soon stumbled across yachting in 2015 and loved the high energy and superior standards of the industry. Linkie has a great sense of adventure, loves a challenge and enjoys being a team player. Linkie always tries to push the boundaries of creating tantalizing meals for you and the guests and can find great provisions even in the remote places. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Culinary arts from Mississippi University and has worked on various yachts and private estates, participated in many food demos & events, morning TV shows and Key note speaker at Food & Wine Festivals.

The Crescendo crew will be joined by a Professional stewardess for charters.
