Steve Bitner

Captain
Steve Bitner

Steve Bitner is friendly, kind, easy going and enthusiastic. The archetypal Midwesterner, he was raised on the farmlands of Ohio and Indiana. As a youth, Steve was picking corn, running combines and sailing, fishing and splashing about on sparkling inland lakes. He did certification scuba dives in the liquid ink of the nearby rock quarry. From these beginnings, hard work, study and experience paid off when he achieved his Master Scuba Training Instructor certification and 100-ton Captain license.

Steve is an expert with kids on family charters. Steve’s first Captain job was in the Florida Keys with the Boy Scouts of America at the National High Adventure Sea Base. On FAIRSKIES, guests of all ages are encouraged (with guidance) to take the helm. Have you always wanted to learn to snorkel or dive? Steve can turn guests into certified divers on a one-week charter. He also knows how to create family-style fun without getting wet: beach picnics, Frisbee golf, golf cart hide and seek with VHF radios, flying the drone.

FAIRSKIES is currently in New England and will charter in Florida and the Bahamas during the winter season. Steve has many great plans for guests in every port of call. In addition to water sports fun and games there are historic towns, great hikes, island hopping, fishing, diving, lobstering and photographing whales and dolphins. His goal is to make every yacht charter aboard FAIRSKIES a rewarding experience. Per guest testimonials, he is doing that to perfection.

Feather Lee

Feather Lee, originally from Colorado, fell in love with the sea. She realized there was no where else she’d rather be. It all happened quite suddenly. She’d accepted a position as a licensed massage therapist at a Virgin Islands resort, but paths diverged and she ended up as a stew on a 65-foot catamaran. That was back in 2003, when she sold everything and set sail. Today Feather is a Captain, qualified 100-ton masters with sailing and radio endorsements. She plans to upgrade to a 200-ton endorsement this year, when she renews her license. But at present, aboard Fair Skies, she happily cares for guests in the capacity of Stew. rst Mate/Stewardess
