TESTIMONIALS Here's one for the curent crew. "We raise our glasses and happily toast Captain Brett Clark, and his wife Chef Andrea Clark, Mate/Engineer Jon Lynch, and Stewardess/deckhand Geraldine McMillan for our second wonderful summer season aboard the good ship ARIA. From Wickford to Newport, Block Island, Sag Harbor, Cuttyhunk, Bristol, Edgartown, Nantucket, Hadley's Harbor, Marion and Providence, the sailing (and cruising) was a joy. And we look forward to more fair winds in '07. We appreciate your service, your smiles and the laughter as you became friends, we are also grateful for the kindness you showed our guests. And of course, we loved the food and drink. And Geraldine, the smiling KIwi certainly excelled at the perfect Martini! Many thanks for all that you do. See you next July". "Thank you so much for the great sailing adventure that we had in the grenadines. ARIA was incredibly comfortable and it sailed remarkably. It sailed so well it appeared to me that it could have taken forty knot winds and eight foot waves and still been comfortable." "The captain and crew of the ARIA were extraordinary. Nice people who got along well and put themselves out for us, their guests. They knew how to be there when they were needed but to give us space when they were not. The chef was outstanding and met our every need. The stewardess was friendly and never let us down. And the engineer/snorkel companion/jack of all trades, was terrific. Lastly, the captain was simply great, knowledgeable and in charge without being offensive about it. In short, the crew was terrific. Also, a word about the boat is in order. Although ARIA is almost 30 years old, it had undergone an expensive refit within the last 3 years. As a result the boat is in wonderful condition. Everything works perfectly and she is very comfortable. In short, I would highly recommend both the boat and the crew. You cannot go wrong." Aria's layout is perfect for a family - some privacy in the back for grown-ups, and cabins and sitting area forward for the kids. The boat is spotless, and beautifully maintained. A new experience for us, having sailed on classic yachts, is that everything actually works. And she sails well, too - 10 knots in a 15 knot wind one day. But what made Aria so much fun for us was the crew. Nothing was too big or small for us to ask, and they were unfailingly cheerful. They have the ability to act more formally or to roll on the floor with the children. They were great at making the kids feel at home. The food deserves special mention. Everything from mac and cheese, to a made from scratch turnip soup, to the diet busting chocolate mousse was beautifully prepared, presented and served. - Ribakoff party, July 2003 Log book comments following an October 2002 charter: To the great crew of ARIA: you guys are the best! Fair winds and thanks for the super week. We were all treated like kings & queens! Thank you for your hospitality, great humor, superb service (all with a smile). The boat is perfect the crew is great! _________________ Writing to let you know what an excellent job the crew of ARIA did with my two-week charter. They stepped up to the plate at the last minute to rescue my charter guests from a canceled powerboat, and underway at midnight to meet the guests the next day in Gloucester. This "can do" attitude prevailed throughout the entire trip. It was further complemented by the outstanding food that met all of the client's requests. Virginia and her crew are to be commended.
