CREW PROFILE Captain: Peter Mullins Nationality: British/American/Antiguan
Peter has been sailing all his life. He entered the marine environment at age 18 as a cadet with the Department of Marine attached to the British Solomon Islands in the Western Pacific where he was awarded the Queens Medal for assisting in saving several lives from drowning. A natural progression brought him into the yachting industry and he ran his first yacht in 1974 with an expedition to The Arctic. He has cruised extensively and raced at international level. In the 80’s he owned and operated his own 72 foot charter yacht. Peter holds a Master Class 4 3000gt ticket as well as being a FAA Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor. For many years, Peter commanded the expedition vessel ‘M.V Turmoil’, after which he became relief captain of sailing yacht ‘Windrose of Amsterdam’, during which time he won the 2008 St. Barth’s Bucket. His love for the sea and sailing coupled with his easy going personality will ensure that your stay on Audacia is a memorable experience.
Engineer: Pierre Beltran. Nationality: French/Mexican
Pierre is French/Mexican. He was raised in Mexico City, by parents that are water sports enthusiasts who allowed him to start sailing, water skiing and diving at early age. He has been a dive instructor for the last 17 years and has worked as an underwater videographer and photographer. His other passion is the engineering. He studied engineering at a French School, and working on yacht has allowed him to combine the best of both worlds. He has a giggly personality and loves to see others smiling.
1st Mate: Brent Allsop Nationality: Australian
Brent was born in New Zealand and moved to Queensland when he was 10. After school he worked in the hospitality industry and completed an Associate Diploma in Hospitality Management, continuing to work through to Hotel Manager for a Multi-National Hotel Company. In 1994 he was accepted to the Queensland Ambulance Service after having done voluntary work with them since 1989. In 1997 He became an Advanced Care Paramedic after completing a Diploma in Pre-Hospital Emergency Care and then furthered this to Intensive Care Paramedic in 2000. He worked extensively in Far North Queensland, Cape York Peninsula and the Torres Straits, including marine and aero medical rescue. In 2001 Brent was introduced to the yachting industry and has been here since. He is about to complete his Chief Mate 3000t and continue on to Master 500t. He has traveled extensively in the U.S., Mediterranean, Caribbean, South East Asia, the South Pacific and Australia.
Chef: Selina Stansfield Nationality: British
Serving up the culinary delights aboard Audacia is Chef Selina Stansfield. Selina found her passion for cooking and for the seas and traveling has led her to working aboard yachts for the last 8 years. With a Mediterranean style of cooking and a keen eye for presentation her specialties such as Lobster and grapefruit salad and Asparagus and wild arugula Risotto are healthy and light. Always looking for new and exciting flavors she is influenced by markets and the local fresh produce.
Chief Stewardess: Joey Chalwin-Milton Nationality: South African
Joey was born in Zimbabwe. She left at a young age and grew up in the homeland Bophuthatswana before moving to South Africa where she has spent the last 15 years. She attended Rhodes University and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Law, continuing further to specialize in and practice Family Law. Her dream was to travel the world which is how she has come to work onboard mega yachts. Joey has now been in the industry for 6 years and has joined Audacia after having served onboard MY Iroquois, MY Huntress, and MY Odalisque. Joey’s passions include theatre, short-story creative writing, composing music, and extreme sports. She has an outgoing and friendly personality and strives towards providing the best possible all-round experience for the guests. Joey has gained invaluable experience with event and party planning, silver service, exiting table themes and flower arranging, and hopes that all guests onboard Audacia will leave having had a happy and memorable time on board.
2nd Stewardess: Mailee Cuenca Nationality: Filipino/Italian
Mailee is originally from the Philippines. She has adopted Genova, Italy as her home. Right after obtaining her Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management., she embarked as bartender/waitress onboard Renaissance Cruise Lines to make her dreams of traveling come true. That same love for traveling brought her to serve onboard various luxury yachts, both in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, finding her way last September of 2007 to Audacia. Second Stewardess Mailee is fun loving and dedicated to her work. Apart from her native language Tagalog, she is fluent in English and Italian.
Bosun: Bryce Connor Nationality: Australian
Bryce grew up in a small coastal town of Buff Point 2 hours North of Sydney, Australia. He spent most of his time surfing and participating in all types of water sports. He was a lifesaver for his local beach and represented his state for swimming and running. He is a personal trainer. After completing his Electrical Apprenticeship, he decided to pack up his belongings and start exploring the world! Bryce then joined the yachting industry since serving onboard M/Y Aviva and M/V Janie. Bryce holds a yacht master offshore ticket and is also working his way up to be an officer of the watch. Bryce’s outgoing, warm and friendly nature will ensure that you feel comfortable and welcomed.
Deckhand: Dan Shaw Nationality: British
Dan grew up on the Isle of Wight, England. With the influence of his parents he started sailing at an early age, moving on to other sports such as windsurfing, scuba diving and snowboarding. Dan previously served on MY Griff and is working towards obtaining his yacht master offshore. Dan’s outgoing and friendly personality will ensure that you have an exhilarating and thoroughly enjoyable time onboard.
Stewardess: Brooke Goldsworthy Nationality: New Zealand
Brooke was born and raised in New Plymouth, New Zealand, and after being introduced to the outdoor aquatic environment from day one, it was clear that this was her calling. Now a qualified surf lifeguard for the past 10 years, Brooke has worked as a professional lifeguard and completed advanced courses in search and rescue, first aid, and oxygen therapy. She also has a banking background and experience in sports event management. Brooke joined the yachting industry in May 2008 onboard MY Griff, and looks to gain further qualifications to allow her to develop an exciting and experienced career onboard yachts.
