BAIURDO VI Main Photo

This fast aluminium sloop by the famous French designer Giles Vaton caused a stir in the Super Yacht world when she was launched in 1992 and still turns heads today. She was ahead of competition maxis of that period.
Her elegant sleek exterior lines are matched by a lovely light airy yachting interior. It must be noted - this is a real sailing yacht.

Perfectly mixed ensuite accommodation for 6/7 adults or 8 guests if a family. (Master double; VIP twin; 1 French Double with pullman; and finally a cabin with French Double. This layout gives 'Baiurdo' excellent flexibility.

The Owners suite situated forward is full width and also has a beautiful full width bathroom with shower and basin. The cabin is well appointed with large hatch for light and fresh air. You could watch the stars at night. Further complimented by a Bose music system, TV, a little sofa and writing desk. Most owners prefer a master cabin forward as for cruising it is both quieter and less disturbance by guests on the aft deck.

Also forward a VIP twin cabin leads off the passage as well as the Guest cabin with a French Double bed (120x200)
and good size pullman berth.
Leading off the salon is the 4th cabin. It's a good size cabin with a French Double (120x200).
All cabins are ensuite and have individual air conditioned controls. Typical of a quality sailing yacht she has many deck hatches and is well ventilated for summer cruising.

Sailing Yacht ‘Bauirdo VI’ has a large spacious open plan salon and dining area with comfortable seating, coffee table and dining table for 8 guests this leads onto the galley where the crew love to prepare delicious meals for their guests.

For dining 'al fresco' on deck the centre cockpit table seats 6 guests with comfort. There is a fixed canopy for shade.

Crew quarters are aft and have a separate entry.

The original Spanish owner wanted a fast yacht with which he could enter regattas but in addition offer safe cruising for his family. Originally named 'Arrayan III' she successfully circumnavigated and has seen many adventures and ocean sailing, course racing in her short lifetime. The current owner will continue this tradition and 'Baiurdo VI' will go places in the next few years.

A unique combination of safety, performance, quality and style - Baiurdo is ready to set sail with her guests. She will be in the Caribbean for Winter of 2012/13 and back to the Med. for 2013.

New for 2012 Season
Swim platform aft with easy steps into the sea.
4th Cabin fully air conditioned with larger new bathroom wc/shower. The upper bunk bed has been removed from this cabin.
Large refit Winter 2011/12: to bilge, heating hot water system, toilets, 2 new Gensets (very quiet), main engine overhaul, MCA work, SAT TV in all cabins, full WiFi coverage and more.

BAIURDO VI Crew Profile

Captain Bulent Azazi (36) Turkish

Here is a charming Captain who is fully qualified and commercially endorsed. He is married with an ‘early’ family due later this year. Multi talented with sailing experience over the past 11 years. There are few Captains that come with such good references from previous owners. The Italian owner is delighted with his captain who has been hard at work throughout the winter 2011/12 completing a major refit in Turkey. He joined Baiurdo in September last year and we have been delighted with him. He handles the boat with gentle hands and takes great care of the guests.

I first met him on ‘Lady Julie’. This is the original Scorpio 72’. She was looking in great shape and just about brand new. Bulent is a hard working conscientious Captain. He has captained yachts from 22m to 35m. sy Miss Dana, sy Hayati, sy Lady Julie, mv Jupiter. He is a keen yachtsman in the racing circuit.

Not just a sailor in his early days he worked in the restaurant and coffee shop business so he understands service and working with his guests and owner and this is why we like him so much. A good Captain and a good host.

Interests are Diving, wakeboarding, sailing and regattas, kite boarding, video and a wide selection of music.

Speaks English and Turkish

Chef Nicolas Chermarin (49) French

A delightful French Chef with a long successful CV and excellent experience. He started his training in France in 1990 and career in cuisine in 1996 in England and from there worked in Scotland, France, The Caribbean. In 2006 he took to the sea and has worked on yachts ever since. Too many to list.

You will be delighted with his cuisine, French but truly international. You are in great hands! Interests are cooking and sailing and more cooking and sailing and most important delighting his guests.
