CAPTAIN – ANDREW GREGO
Andrew is STCW-95 certified, holds a RYA Yachtmaster Oceans Captains License with a MCA Endorsement, a US Coast Guard Captains License with A Tow Endorsement and has been around boats all of his life. Andrew was born and raised in New Zealand and is still a New Zealand Citizen. Now married to Karen, Andrew has also become a US Citizen. Andrew has been working in the yachting industry for approximately 12 years and has extensively cruised during this time in the South Pacific, Indian Ocean, Caribbean, and the East Coast of the US. Andrew is also a professionally trained chef. He started this training when he was 16 years old, and has been working as a professional chef since then. He has trained and worked in New Zealand, Australia, England, France and the yachting industry. His hobbies and interests include scuba diving, skiing, traveling, fishing and either riding his Road King Harley Davidson or his original 1968 re-furbished Vespa scooter.
STEWARDESS/MATE – KAREN GREGO
Karen is STCW-95 certified and holds a US Coast Guard Captains License with a tow Endorsement, and has taken the courses to become the Medical Person in Charge on board the vessel. Karen was born and raised in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, USA. She has been in the yachting industry for approximately 20 years and has made a full time career in the yachting service and charter industry, which is where she met her husband, Andrew. During the past 20 years she has extensively cruised the Caribbean, Bahamas, East and West Coast of Mexico, East and West Coast of the US, Canada, Alaska, South America, East and West Coast of Central America, and has made passages through the Panama Canal. Her strong background in the service industry promises you a most memorable stay. Her hobbies and interests include scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, traveling, riding her original 1967 re-furbished Vespa scooter, riding her Heritage Softail Harley Davidson, weight training, road biking and just being outdoors.
CHEF - AARON JOHNSON
Aaron is STCW-95 certified and also holds a RIB Level II license. Raised in Washington State, Aaron attended Le Cordon Bleu in Portland, OR and did his internship in Wanaka, New Zealand. After graduating he continued to travel and work in New Zealand where he worked at Hapuku Lodge and Tree Houses which is a luxury resort in Kaikoura before his travels took him to Thailand and Indonesia. Then continuing his passions for food he found the award winning luxury resort, Byron at Byron in Byron Bay Australia. He then returned to the States to start a career in the yachting world. Aaron’s hobbies are surfing, travel, all water sports, especially boating.
