"Can do" attitude !!!

After he finished the schools he took himself into a new adventure in the Adriatic Sea. He became Captain on Fisherman’s boat and till 1978 when his first yacht job happened he stayed there.

From 1978 till 2000 he was cruising around the Mediterranean mostly in a duty like a Captain. Even between all those years he went to Navy school and he learned the small tricks on Sea. He then had a chance to use them directly when cruising around.

In 2000 and 2001 he conduced a total refitting on a 30 m motor yacht where he stayed till 2004 when he took Captain’s position on a 38 m Benetti. He stayed there till end of October 2008 when the big world financial crisis came and the owner was forced to sell the yacht. In spring 2009 he took himself onto a new experience on an older yacht where he is still working.

Ljubomir has a large knowledge of Seas, vessels and weather forecast and all those years in the industry made him a strong and valuable crew member. He is a team player and one of the most important thing for him as a Captain is to have a professional crew on board with him. During the years he almost had the same crew as they all liked his organization skills.

Ljubomir is a self motivated individual with the desire to take his love boating to the maximum level in the yachting industry. Growing up close to the sea has given him great passion for boating which led him to working aboard yachts. He is a hard worker, professional, and always perform himself at work with a smile.

2. CHIEF ENGINEER : Sebastiano SPAGNOLETTA

Maurizio spent his life at sea. He is a Chief Engineer officer for vessel without any limitation in power. He has a wide technical knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems obtained sailing on board of the most technological ship. Then he was decided to enter the yachting market and since many years he has been working on private and charter Yachts.

He is an engineer of other times, with all the tales and the happenings lived at sea on his own skin.

3. CHEF : Ilic STRANO

Nationality: Italian

Age: 37

Natianality: Italian (mother language)

Other Languages: English (fair) & some French

Ilic despite of the name is an 100% Italin Chef. He has a wide portfolio of exiting recipes for all type of palates. Every times he succeeded in surprising me with the brilliant combination of ingredients, flavours, colours and tastes.

He started working on land based top quality restaurant where he improved his personal skills, going then on board of passenger ship as a la carte restaurant responsible to arrive at the end on yachts. Here he knew Lucjan, and since then they have always sailed togheter.

4. DECK BOY : Egon FORTUNA

Nationality: Slovenian

Age: 34

Natianality: Croatian, Italian mother (mother language Italian)

He is a young guy, very sweet character and willing to work. He has a quite good experience since he is seven years he is sailing on board of commercial yachts of several types and dimensions. He is nice and gentle with the guests and always at the disposal of their needs. He is a trusted member of our Captain’s crew.

5. CHIEF STEWARDESS : Mirjana ZAGAR

Nationality: Croatian with Italian mother

Age: 39

Languages: English (very good), Italian (very good), some German, Croatian mother language

Mirjana is a very professional stewardess. She is well known by our Captain since they have sailed together a lot. Her major quality is being able to arrange and manage all the hotel activities without forgetting any particular of the life spent by guests at sea, succeeding in creating a great comfortable feeling onboard. She has wide experience on board and is always smiling and hard worker

6. STEWARDESS : Ivana GULIC

Nationality: Croatian with Italian mother, borned in Fiume

Age: 31

Languages: English (excellent), Italian (mother Language), some German, Croatian (mother language)

Ivana is at her first season on Bert. Initially she has been employed just only for the Genova Boat Show, but considering her professional qualities and the compliments received by many Brokers attending the Boat Show, the Owner decided to keep her onboard for the whole season. Therefore the quality of service onboard will be even improved, with her silent but very useful presence. She is a hard worker and very eager to go ahead on this job.
