Brendan Matthews
Position: Captain
Nationality: British/South African
Although originally born in South Africa, Brendan spent most of his childhood growing up around boats in the Med and at home in the UK. At the age of 20, Brendan started his full-time career in the yachting industry, joining a 40 Metre superyacht as deckhand. In the proceeding year Brendan joined a Sunseeker 75 Yacht (same model as Blue Seas) as Captain. He ran this Sunseeker 75 Yacht for two years, before overseeing the build of the owners new Sunseeker 86 Yacht. Brendan enjoyed running this yacht up until her sale in June 2011, where he completed the sale of the boat and handover to the new Skipper. While working for this owner Brendan travelled the Med extensively and has particular in depth knowledge of the cruising areas around the Balearic Islands and South of France. In his spare time Brendan is a keen water sports enthusiast, as well as enjoying snow sports in the winter months.
Certificates held: MASTER 200gt, SHORT RANGE RADIO, POWERBOAT LEVEL TWO, PADI OPENWATER DIVE, YACHTMASTER, ICC INTERNATIONAL CERT OF COMPETANCE, STCW95, AEC.
Damien Lloyd George
Position: Chef
Nationality: South African
Damien has been an enthusiastic sailor from a young age, he has gained extensive experience in Michelin starred restaurants, hotels, private chalets/villa’s and private/chartered motor yachts. Since joining the yachting industry 5 years ago Damien have learnt the importance of teamwork and have become an efficient seafarer who likes to see a job done well. He has travel throughout the Mediterranean, Atlantic, South America and Antarctica on his previous voyages along with his partner and companion Sericha (Stewardess). Damien is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys all forms of water sports especially surfing and diving. He specialize in Mediterranean and Eclectic cuisines, making the dinning experience on board M/Y Blue Seas unforgettable.

Sericha Sprong
Position: Stewardess
Nationality: South African
While growing up in sunny South Africa she completed her studies in Somatology. After 4 years working as a professional health and skin care therapist in one of Cape towns world rewound Hotels and Spa she caught the travel bug and began her yachting career 3 years ago. She has traveled throughout the Mediterranean, Atlantic, South America and Antarctica on her previous voyages along with her partner and amazing Chef Damien. In her free time she enjoys camping, snorkeling and drawing. It’s always her pleasure to make people happy & comfortable. With a great love for what she does, Sericha goes the extra mile to ensure that guests have a wonderful time on board M/Y Blue Seas, leaving with the best of memories.

1 midships master stateroom
1 forward VIP stateroom
1 port twin cabin
1 starboardtwin cabin
The Master cabin features a Queen bed, a sofa, a vanity and a walk-in wardrobe.
All cabins are ensuite.
The main salon boasts a large seating area and interior dining for 8 guests.
The aft deck offers outside dining possiblities for 8 guests. The flybridge boasts a large table covered by a bimini. There is also a newly installed sunbathing area aft.
There is a second sunbathing area and a sofa on the bow.
