Captain Philippe
Philippe French, 47 years old, holds an Offshore Yacht Master, PADI dive master and Thai Merchant Navy certificates. With more than 20 years cruising in the South East Asia waters, Philippe is probably the most experienced Captain in the region. Extensive knowledge of the cruising grounds from Thailand to Malaysia, Myanmar and Andaman Islands India, allow the passengers to discover off the beaten tracks and tailor-made itineraries. Philippe has followed the refit of Calisto in Thailand and probably knows every inch of the classic Lady. Philippe is also an attentive host and leads a professional and service orientated crew of seven. Captain speaks French, English and fluent Thai.
Chef Sowat Naknonhan.(Wat)
Calisto’s Chef, Khun Wat, 50 years old, is Thai and speaks good English. His expertise is of International Gourmet Cuisine with an Asian flair and of course, Thai specialties, specially prepared with the daily fresh fish, vegetables, local fruits and delicate spices. Wat has worked as Chef in several hotels and restaurants in Bangkok and Phuket and was also trained in Vietnam in a 5 stars hotel by a Swiss chef.
Wat hold his Commercial Thai Navy Seaman book and is familiar with working on yachts as well as luxury cruise ships.
Chief Stewardess Puangpit Murada.(Tukta)
Thai Chief Stewardess Tukta, 30 years old, was trained at the Thai Marine School, is fluent in English, has a great sense of service and leads the team with efficiency and kindness. She was previously Chief-waitress in a renowned Thai restaurant in Bangkok Tukta is also an expert in Thai cooking. Her skills include Thai massage and holds a certificate from the Ministry of Public Health for both Thai massage and foot massage.
Stewardess Pyawan Jekjantueck.(Jum)
Jum, Thai stewardess is 25 years old, was onboard Calisto since the beginning of the refit in Thailand. She was also trained in Vietnam on the luxurious Emeraude Cruises. Licensed from the Thai Marine School, Jum speaks English and Thai, is hard working, efficient and service orientated.
Chief Engineer Choedsak Nuanchan. (Paad)
Paad is the yacht’s Chief engineer, 41 years old, Thai, he has worked within the marine industry since 1987, marine engineering in the Trang province, Engineer on the MY Ocean Rover in Phuket, second engineer on the Cruise ship Andaman Princess, Chief engineer on MY Scuba Explorer and MY Taipan. Paad speaks English and Thai.
Engineer Mr. Loet Somrup.(Loet)
Loet, Thai, 34 years old, has worked as engineer on several motor yachts since 1999. He has a good team working spirit and speaks English and Thai.
Deckhand & Tender captain Pairak Bailad
Thai, 39 years old, works on yachts since 1993, has extensive knowledge of the area, lots of experience with speed boats and sport fishing boats.
Pairak also speaks English and Thai.
Deckhand & Tender captain Ammat Chi-Nga.
The yacht’s second deck hand and tender captain in 42 years old, also Thai National and he is an experienced crew with god sailing knowledge. He speaks English and Thai. Both hold their Thai Marine school certificates.
