CAPRICORN Crew Profile

Captain: Eddie Persichetti
Captain Eddie takes great pride in operating and managing Capricorn. Expecting his crew to exemplify professionalism, with passionate enthusiasm, guests will experience nothing shy of an incredible experience with the pleasure known only to yachting. Cruising over 50,000 nautical miles in ten years behind his helm, Edward takes yachting and maritime etiquette beyond the realm of a pastime. Prioritizing safety, and guest satisfaction, Captain Eddie is a vibrant, highly qualified Captain. Most recently Captain Eddie has obtained his 1600 ton license. Yachting is a lifestyle of professionalism that Captain Eddie has chosen and upholds with the greatest respect. Growing up in a family that was passionate about boating, it’s no wonder Eddie left the communications studio for a life at sea shortly after completing his BA at La Salle University in Philadelphia. Now residing in Massachusetts when not on Capricorn, the sea is close by which is a well-desired preference. Captain Eddie is known to create impromptu songs accompanied with his guitar on occasion. He has a fun loving nature that is know and enjoyed by all. His collection of kites is extensive. Painting the sky with kites is pleasure Captain Eddie enjoys sharing with others. Captain Eddie manages to bring fun into activities both land and sea.
Purser: Merry Persichetti
Assisting Captain Eddie for the past four years in overall vessel operations, Merry Persichetti is a versatile individual who tends to wear many hats. With degrees in Marketing, Management and Psychology accompanied with a team oriented background, Merry is an integral part of account management and team building onboard. Merry’s eye for perfection, attention to service and well-rounded skill set make her a preferred yachting professional. Merry is a crafty and wise lover of life whose charismatic energy carries through the vessel as she fulfills your every need. Merry was born and raised in Boring, Oregon prior to attending the University of Montana where she was a successful collegiate athlete. Post grad she started fulfilling her long time dreams of travel that budded after participating in an exchange program that allowed her family to live in Australia for a year when she was in high school. After backpacking through South America and sailing the Pacific waters from San Francisco, CA through the Panama Canal, she found her way into the yachting community and into a lifestyle that suits her very well. Merry loves to explore new cultures, read, write, cook, and lead an active lifestyle. Merry is committed to being a life long learner drinking in all that life has to offer.
First Mate: James McIntire
With extensive skills and qualifications, First Mate Jimmy, brings much to offer the Capricorn Crew. His likeable southern charm and extensive knowledge of fishing make for a stellar combo. Jimmy enjoys escorting guests on excursions to any variety of locations or assisting them to participate in any activity Capricorn has to offer. Well groomed with a degree in business management from the University of Mississippi, Jimmy can integrate with ease to any crowd. He will surprise you with his light feet on the ballroom dance floor where he can lead any lady in a fanciful waltz.
Chef: Rachel Aguiar
Rachel hails from the small town of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Shortly after completing her marketing degree at the University of Central Florida she made her way down to south Florida where she was introduced to the yachting world. Rachel was inspired by a top of the line chef on her first vessel to pursue a career in which she has never looked back. She spent the next few years working under many great yachts chefs while traveling through regions such as the South Pacific, Mediterranean, East Coast, and the Caribbean. Rachel then came back to Florida to finish her formal culinary training at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, during which time she was able to gain valuable experience in the hotel industry. Guests are welcome at any time in Rachel’s galley and encouraged to stop in for quick lessons or just to say hello. Traveling is top choice for Rachel and when she is not cooking she enjoys outdoor activities such as wakeboarding, snowboarding, hiking, cycling, and yoga.
Engineer: Paul Miller
Paul has ten times the personality of an average engineer. Extremely personable and happy to assist, Paul is a gem. Impeccably maintaining the vessel, while providing an extra helping hand wherever needed, Paul keeps us moving. Paul is a traditional English chap, he likes all things to do with motors and engines. His prized possession is a 2005 Mustang that he loves to take to car exhibitions and show off. He started out in yachting on sailboats and has recently made the transition to motor yachts. Paul admittedly loves fixing things and all things shiny! Taking pride in his position, Paul maintains excellence in Capricorn’s engine room and all mechanics on board. If Paul is not in the Engine room cranking on a crescent wrench, he’s most likely watching Top Gear on BBC to figure out a way to make his Mustang faster or Capricorn smoother.
Chief Stewardess: Katie Fitzpatrick
Katie has been working at sea for nearly 10 years. She started out on large cruise ships working in the casino department, spinning the roulette ball and dealing blackjack. Yachting was her next step toward a career she is passionate about. With an eye for perfection Katie ensures the vessel is kept to high standards with impeccable service. Katie loves to be underwater and is a keen scuba diver. A self-confessed foodie, Katie loves exploring local cuisine and restaurants wherever the vessel may travel. Katie has managed to find a special spot in everyone’s heart and once you meet her for the first time, you’ll understand why. Follow your ear to the music of The Lumineers and Mumford and Sons and you’ll be sure to find her singing along at the top of her voice. Katie recently took on the “Insanity” fitness challenge and hopes to be ripped for the summer!
Stewardess: Joanne Cooper
With a background in hospitality and passion for the sea, Joanne enjoys providing top service on board Capricorn. Her eye for detail, natural inclination toward organization, and diligent work ethic make her a strong team player. Joanne has a delightful personality and sense of humor that can lighten the air in any situation. Joanne is an incredibly fast learner and manages to make a memorable impression with all who enter Capricorn. In her free time Joanne enjoys cooking, water sports, photography and charity work. If there is an open beach with golden sand and crashing waves, you can find Joanne with her mask and snorkel. She’ll be the one giggling out her snorkel hole.
Deckhand: Kevin Damgaard
Positive, polite, creative, responsible, independently motivated and hardworking are only a few of Kevin’s positive attributes. Kevin is very passionate about his job and takes great pride in keeping guests and owners safe and satisfied. Having grown up in Monaco, a multi cultural country, Kevin has the ability to speak Danish, French, Spanish and English and his language as choice. While enjoying an active lifestyle, Kevin remains fit to handle all deck activities. Football “Soccer” has taught Kevin to work as a team and while not on deck, you’ll find Kevin glancing at a TV most likely watching the sport. Kevin continues to challenge himself to learn more. With a background in team athletics and hospitality, Kevin is a rather refined deckhand whom guests enjoy having around. The passion for the sea has allowed Kevin to travel and join the Capricorn Family.
