Crew Profile

Captain: Kevin Hart

Kevin has been surrounded by the sea all his life having grown up on a small Island off the east coast of England and living on the east coast of Australia, plus the west coast of South Africa during his long career at sea. Kevin has worked at sea since he was 16 on an array of different types of ocean going vessels from small cargo ships to cruise ships, working his way up from a deck cadet to a Master Mariner with over 25 years’ experience in navigating the world’s oceans. The past 11 years Kevin has been serving on various luxury yachts 45 to 60m in size, 10 years as captain cruising and chartering the Adriatic, Mediterranean and Caribbean Seas. Safety is always priority along with providing guests on CLAIRE with an unforgettable experience to take home with them. Captain Hart now resides in Cape Town, South Africa, with his beautiful wife, and two young children. He has a passion for traveling the globe and loves water sports, scuba diving, and snowboarding when and where he can.

Chief Officer: Karl Vanlint

Karl grew up in Hertfordshire, U.K.. Being a landlocked part of the country, the extent of his time on the water in his early life extended to family holidays to Cornwall in the southwest of England. He completed a degree in Computer Games Design yet quickly decided that sitting in front of a computer all day wasn't for him. As soon as he graduated he instead started to pursue his new career and ambition; working on yachts! His seven years in the industry has seen him work throughout the Caribbean, Indian Ocean, and Europe. He has spent much time in Italy, where he picked up some of the language. His favorite cruising destination however would have to be the Norwegian fjords. In 2013/2014 he spent a year at maritime college in order to become a Deck Officer. Karl runs the deck department and works closely with Dario and Mike to ensure that the guests of CLAIRE have the most enjoyable and safe experience possible.

Chef: Andy Orzechowski

Chef Andreas was born and raised in Berlin, Germany where he completed his chef’s apprenticeship, before first starting his first chef's job in a French restaurant. He later went on to join the team at the best Italian restaurant in Germany. After 9 years of restaurants, his love of travel lead him to yachts where he has cruised extensively through Asia, including Singapore, Philippines, and Thailand. Before joining the crew of CLAIRE, Andreas worked as private chef to a high ranked government official in North Africa. When not on board, Andreas lives in Bangkok with his wife and child.

Chief Stewardess: Jocelyn Piccinetti

Originally from Maryland and growing up on the Equestrian Circuit, Jocelyn has called Palm Beach home for more than half her life. Prior to yachting, Jocelyn worked with her mother for 15 years running their high- end mobile coffee and espresso bars that specialized in prestigious events all over the U.S. She also owned and operated an upscale clothing boutique for five years in the Hamptons. Four years ago, Jocelyn traded land for water by joining yachting to continue her passion for hospitality and at the same time fulfill her love for culture and travel. Jocelyn's professionalism, charm, and concern for guest satisfaction are genuinely felt by each and every guest on CLAIRE.

Bosun: Mike Hill

Michael grew up in Knysna, South Africa. He has have spent his life on the water and has been sailing since he was 12 years old. When Mike was at school, he worked at Knysna yacht club teaching sailing and canoeing. He finished school in 2006 and has been gaining sailing qualifications & experience ever since. When he was 16 he started racing competitively and put together his own team for the J22 National’s. He has competed in a few Laser nationals and provincials races. Mike says that sailing and working on the ocean is his true passion. Mike is a very outgoing and friendly person who enjoys meeting new people and can get along with everyone. He is a good host and has lots of experience with different cultures sailing the world. Mike enjoys wakeboarding, skiing, surfing, and having some fun on a jet ski.

Chief Engineer: William Valverde

William grew up in Panama City surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. He had a passion for fixing things from a young age and his interest watching large ships passing by the Panama Canal made him decide to pursue a career in nautical engineering, which lead him to Maritime College. William is a positive and very optimistic person. During his sea going career working on cruise ships and now luxury yachts, he has always enjoyed learning more new things, whilst he has had the privileged of traveling around the world visiting many different countries and knowing different cultures. In his spare time, William enjoys snorkelling, cycling, and loves dancing, especially to Latin music.

Second Stewardess: Marylene Bosse

Marylene grew up in Paris, France before moving to California at the age of 17, where she studied Psychology and Asian History. After graduating she moved back to Paris and spent the next seven years working for an up market five-star hotel located in the Champs-Élysées. Thereafter she was introduced to the yachting industry by a family member; Marylene started her yachting career on a 40m yacht based in the South of France. She has had many great opportunities to work and travel ever since, including two Atlantic Crossings on sail yachts as well as backpacking in Asia and living in Australia. Marylene enjoys many outdoor activities which include running and water sports.

Deckhand: Dario Ferguson

Coming from the chain of islands known for its sun, sand, and sea... yes, the Bahamas! That’s where Dario grew up spending all his summers snorkeling, spear fishing, and exploring on a dingy. Dario always had a passion for the water and as a child would fantasize about the super yachts as they passed by. He said to himself that one day he would be the captain of a super yacht and is now on that journey. That’s how he became a part of the yachting world and he loves every minute of it! With four years’ experience at a five- star luxury resort and a friendly personality, he ensures a premium service aboard CLAIRE.

Stewardess: Carmen Zaharia

Carmen was born and raised on the eastern coast of Romania, spending many childhood vacations by the Black Sea. After finishing her studies she joined cruise ships, performing as a casino dealer and working her way to casino manager over the span of 5 years. During this period working with International crews she also achieved a very good knowledge of foreign languages, now speaking English, Spanish, Italian, and some French along with her mother tongue. Carmen joined the yachting industry back in 2015 to experience different types of hospitality by getting involved in both the galley and the interior. Now with several years of hospitality service behind her, Carmen will greet you with a confident and welcoming smile.

Layout

CLAIRE can accommodate 10 guests in 5 cabins. The Master cabin has a king size bed, shower and toilet. 3 Guest cabins have a king size bed, shower and toilet. A Guest cabin has a twin bed, shower and toilet. CLAIRE is fully air conditioned through out. Crew has a separate heads and shower.
