

Captain Stephen Pattee / Chef Summer Williams
Steve and Summer started working as a team in 2005 on day sail yachts up to 78 feet in Key West, Florida, forming a relationship that brought them to Newport, Rhode Island in 2007.
After several summers crewing for America’s Cup Charters in Newport, Steve helped deliver the 12 meter yacht Enterprise from Florida to her summer port. He was promoted to captain and eventually took over as skipper on Easterner for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. While Steve was running team building charters on the 12 meters, Summer worked as a bartender and server for Ocean Side Catering of Newport and joined Steve on Easterner in 2008.
Steve and Summer spent the winter season of 2007-08 running a 57’ charter catamaran between St. Vincent and Grenada with a brief stint on a 73’ charter yacht in the Virgin Islands that was changing ownership.
Captain Pattee has logged thousands of sea miles on deliveries, including a 30 day trip from Key West, Florida to San Diego, California on the 140 foot Schooner America in April 2005. He competed in the Newport American and World 12 Meter Championships in 2006 and 2005 respectively.
Steve graduated from Colorado State University in1991 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Business. From 1999 to 2004 he owned and operated ‘7 Mile Sun’ a retail tropical clothing and gift store in Ft. Collins, CO while developing an online retail and wholesale business. Summer built a strong resume in bartending, food service and hospitality while attending Meramec Community college in St. Louis, Missouri from 1997 to 1999.
