Gaetano born in Rome, Italy 36 years ago. After his Degree in Scientific High School he started going by sea on a family boat. He use to share his time between University courses in “Letters & Philosophy” and his passion of going by sea. He holds the Italian license of Ship Master for Yachts over 24m, up-grading his titles with further courses  required by the new nautical Italian regulation.

Gaetano sailed all over the world during 3 years: crossing the Atlantic to Caribbean then to Australia on a world round trip. He experienced the emotion of some race ( Round the World Rally). He completed his professional background working for private and several charter yachts.

He did the transfer from Cape_Town summer 2007, then crossed the Atlantic with FarAndWide that he learned to know in all particulars following also the shipyard yearly checking and up-grading. He use to have a good feeling with people in general and use to be very attentive to guests preferences. He specks Italian, English, Spanish and French.

CHEF: Marco Chioccarello,    Italian

Marco born in 1969 in Italy. He holds all titles required by the nautical Italian regulation and Padi for water diver. Marco started his experience first as waiter and then as sous cook in 1989 in some restaurants in London and in 2004 started his profession as chef & sailor on board various yachts: from S/Y FireBird 21m to S/Y Mariella 24m to restaurant in Antigua in 2007 to S/Y Antares 31m 

He loves sailing, water sports, diving, music and literature and obviously he loves to cook. The Italian cuisine is a brand but he has an international variety of specialities.

Languages: Italian, fluent Portuguese, good English, basic Spanish.

DECK HAND :  Marcelo Natalio Scaffidi, Italo-Argentino

Born in 1977 in Argentina, single, earned his Technical-Mechanical diploma in 1994, will be of great help in technical activity, he already showed to be an expert sailor in 2008 onboard of Farandwide. When he was 12 started a pleasure nautical activities, once adult from 2000 to 2004 participated to many regattas in Argentina. In the last 2-3 years he worked onboard yachts in Italy. He holds nautical license and all safety courses required for professional deck-hand on yachts for charter. Languages spoken: a part his mother tongue, he speaks English and Italian fluent, French and Portuguese good level.
