Captain Steve Enloe
Captain Steve Enloe, of FEARLESS, refers to himself as a "recovering attorney". A native of Atlanta, Georgia, in 1993 Steve moved aboard his sailboat Helios, a Mason 43. He lived aboard Helios for the next three years cruising in the Bahamas, the Eastern Caribbean, and the northern coast of South America and back to the US East Coast eventually settling in Charleston, South Carolina.
Taking up sailing professionally in 1996, Steve, a USCG licensed, 100 Ton Master, was the senior instructor at Ocean Sailing Academy in Charleston. During his tenure Steve taught some 275 classes and about 800 students sailing skills ranging from rudimentary terminology and basic skills to advanced sail trim, coastal and celestial navigation, and the skills necessary for passagemaking. Since 1993, Steve has logged some 690 days underway, with 55,000 miles under the keel, and about 30,000 blue water miles. He enjoys harbor and ocean racing and was the captain of Tohidu, overall winner of the 2009 Charleston to Bermuda race (with an all student crew). Before coming on board FEARLESS, Steve served as skipper of the The Schooner Pride, an 84-foot, 56-ton, three-masted, gaff-rigged schooner, chartering out of Charleston, SC. Steve looks forward to treating guests on board FEARLESS to the sailing vacation of a lifetime!
