CAPTAIN
Peter is your captain. Originally from England, he has spent most of his life travelling, working in the "off season" as a tour guide in Europe and the "on season" as a Captain. He has spent most of his life aboard yachts. With extensive knowledge of the Mediterranean, Bahamas, Florida and the Caribbean Islands, Peter chose the Virgin Islands (his favourite) as his cruising area. "Cocktails on the aft deck, wonderful sunsets, gently swaying palm trees, stingrays swimming past and those Tropical bars on white sandy beaches" How could he not enjoy it?
Some of Peter's interests include, Diving and Snorkeling, Rugby, Cricket, Golf, Waterskiing and preserving all types of marine life.
CHEF / FIRST MATE
Kristin (KC) is your gourmet chef. Originally from Savannah, Georgia. She attended University there, studying Business Management. After graduating she decided to travel extensively. While on her travels, she became fascinated in the different culinary styles of the countries. So much so that she decided to become a chef. She studied in Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Thailand and USA, where she also took a bar tending course. She then combined her business and culinary skills and started her own very successful catering and wedding company, which she later sold. Following this KC got itchy feet and decided to pursue one of her many interests, sailing. She came to the Virgin Islands and has been a chef here for the last 8 years.
KC has won numerous culinary awards, not to mention numerous guests returning year after year to enjoy her cuisine. She is also an avid diver and an advocate of preserving the life of the endangered sea turtles, and all other sea life.
FLYING GINNY Testimonials
APRIL 2012
Hi Peter, its (young) Tom from your last charter. I just wanted to email to say thank you once again for everything you did for us. it was the best birthday I had thanks to you guys, so thank you. I will continue to play continental and use everything you taught me to help me win! I also loved learning more about sailing and the boat, too bad there wasn't more wind! Please tellRuth I say hello and that her cooking was great. Thank you once again, Tom B
Dear Peter and Ruth,
Well we made it home safely, to cold and rainy weather. Of course the ferry we were taking only went on Sunday's, so we had breakfast across the street, after waiting forever in customs, we made the flight.
We want to thank you again for giving us a trip that we will always remember. But mostly, thank you for being so kind to Tom and Kahler.
We want to come back..............we are cold!
Best Wishes,
Kim, Tom, Kahler and Tom
