Captain George (Tim) Schott, born and raised in Wisconsin, has loved the water since his first step in a puddle. Growing up his family always had a boat, motor and sail.
During his high school years he spent much time in upstate New York. Later, he worked in the automotive industry building a mechanical aptitude as an auto, truck, and diesel technician. After 20 twenty years, he realized he was ready for a career change and headed to Florida and his love of water.
Building on experience as a certified SCUBA diver from 1984, he proceeded to become a PADI SCUBA Instructor in 2007 along with obtaining his initial Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels License (OUPV) captain's license. This was the perfect combined credentials for him to run a series of several Dive charter boats in the Gulf of Mexico. With his drive and passion for the sea, he always wants to learn new skills and challenge himself to be the best.
The following year, Tim continued to upgrade his license and joined the yachting industry. Says Tim, "I love every minute of it! I love meeting new people and showing them the best time possible and doing it safely. My passion is the sea above and below the surface".
As the captain of the 97-foot Hargrave, M/Y FOREVER YOUNG, he says he's thrilled and looking forward to continuing to do what he likes best ... to share with others life on the sea from the decks of a beautiful yacht.
