Captain: Miltos Harazis (59)
Greek / 1958
Captain Miltos is a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos. He loves sailing and during the past 30 years he has participated in many Offshore Races and World Championships. In 1987 Miltos crossed the Atlantic Ocean participating at the “Constitution Race” organized by the EEC and the U.S.A. for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the American Constitution and the 30th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome. For over 15 years he has been an Offshore Sailing Trainer at his own Sailing School. Miltos has worked as Captain on board motor yachts and has participated in the refit procedure of two big sailing yachts in Holland and in Italy. He was been at the helm of s/y “Gitana” since 2006, when he brought the yacht from France to Greece. Since then, he has also been responsible for the refits and the maintenance of the yacht.

Engineer: Vassilis Bithizis
Greek / 1964
Vassilis has graduated from the Polytechnic School and has obtained his diplomas in Engineering. Further to this, he has all necessary Safety and Fire Fighting Certificates. Vassilis commenced his career in 1987 as an Electrician for Marelco A.E. However in 1989 he brought his knowledge to the sea as Engineer on board luxury motor yachts, and since 2008 he has been on board s/y “Gitana”.

Chef: George Pappas
Greek / 1978
George graduated from Alpine Center in Switzerland in 1998 when he successfully gained his Certificate in Culinary Art. He also holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from Le Monde. He has worked in many renowned restaurants and hotel restaurants in Greece and Cyprus and has become an expert in Mediterranean Cuisine and fish cookery. In addition, he has gained experience as a hotel and restaurant consultant. Given that this is the first time that George develops his impeccable culinary skills on board a luxury yacht, guests will have a memorable and exclusive dining experience.

Vaggelis has been a graduate of a Greek High School in Montreal, Canada since 1990 when he decided to study Food and Beverage Management in Lasalle College HTM. Since completing his studies in 1995 he has worked on various job positions in both Greece and Canada such as head waiter in restaurants and operation manager in travel agencies. Vaggelis also owned and managed a cafe in Athens. He has attended multiple seminars on tourism, hospitality and sales. This year he brings his excellent interpersonal and communication skills on board a luxury yacht for the first time making the guests feel comfortable throughout their stay.

Greek / 1983
Lily holds Diploma in Media Communication from the Panteion University in Athens. She has also studied Jewellery Art in London and, during her stay in Italy, she was teaching English to children. Lily has a lot of experience since she has been working at the restaurant of the Imperial War Museum in U.K. She is very friendly with the kids, has a pleasant character, and during her free time she designs jewels.

Bong graduated from the Philippines Maritime Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation in 1999. He is married with a child and has served on various luxury motor yachts throughout the Mediterranean Sea since 2008. Bong's skills and hard work along with his pleasant character make him a unique member of the crew on s/y Gitana.
