Captain – Pierre RR Phippaz 

Pierre is 33 years old and was born just outside Paris, moving to the South of France 10 years ago. Pierre joined Gloria’s Sun upon its arrival to the Mediterranean in 2002 as First Mate and became captain in Spring of 2005. He is very hard working and takes great pride in caring for GLORIA’S SUN and her guests. Whether you want to spend your days cruising the beautiful waters of the Bahamas or at anchor in a secluded cove, Pierre knows just where to take you after spending the last 2 years in Bahamian waters. Pierre worked in special education with adolescents before working on yachts. His demeanor, great physical shape and his genuine interest in pleasing others makes him among the very best young captain's in the industry. Pierre’s interests include; water skiing, swimming, Taekwando, other various sports and film. Pierre is fluent is both French and English. We are very fortunate to have Pierre as captain aboard the GLORIA’S SUN!

Chief Steward - Todd Wicker

Hailing from New Orleans, Todd is 39 years old. Todd grew up on the Bayou with his family. His father was a tug boat captain and a shipwright. Todd is an expert in the art of caring for our guests. He will insure your experience is thoroughly enjoyable, fun and relaxing. Todd loves planning parties, organizing shore excursions, photography, fishing and personal fitness. He has worked aboard GLORIA’S SUN for two years now with many satisfied charter clients to his credit. Prior to accepting the position as chief steward aboard GLORIA’S SUN, Todd owned and operated his own Bed & Breakfast in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Todd's strong customer service background and his extensive knowledge of the leisure & travel industry makes him a great asset to the crew as well as our guests!

First Mate - Nick Spanner

Nick grew up in the Czech Republic, formerly Czechoslovakia. He moved to the United States 8 years ago. Since that time he has learned English and worked aboard yachts as an Engineer and First Mate, joining GLORIA’S SUN one year ago. Whether you wish to partake in water sports, or take an excursion on our 32ft Scarab tender, Nick will be there to make your experience most enjoyable. Nick also loves children and is happy to teach water skiing, boggie boarding, tubing, snorkeling and many other activities! Feel like exploring? Have Nick take you on a wonderful Island tour! Nick is an excellent Alpine skier and enjoys wood working and fine craftsmanship. He lives in Miami and rehabs old homes in his spare time ashore.

Chef - Christine Kochelski

Chef Christine Kochelski was born & raised in Philadelphia. With her family in the restaurant business, she learned to cook at a very young age. Internships at Bookbinders and the Four Seasons in Philadelphia were the beginning of her career. She has worked and traveled extensively throughout the US and Europe and has been in the yachting business for the past ten years. She now resides in West Palm Beach , Florida. Chris has been chef aboard the GLORIA’S SUN since 2004 and lives to accommodate her guests requests. Everyone has complimented her for the quality and diversity of her menus. We are very lucky indeed to have Chris as chef aboard the GLORIA’S SUN!
