Captain Thomas has over 30,000 nm experience. He worked 2 years for Sunsail as bareboat and flotilla skipper. During this time he sailed countless different catamarans and sailboats. He crossed the Pacific and Atlantic.
Languages Spoken: German, English and French fluently
Chef/Hostess Brigitte is experienced in gourmet food from all around the world. She specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, some Asian. Swiss cuisine only on special request! Enjoys baking breads and cakes.

We just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed our recent holiday in the Grenadines. This was due in no small part to the excellent job done by our lead skipper and hostess, Thomas and Brigitte. At all times they were cheerful, helpful, well organised and supportive.
We knew the Grenadines were going to a challenging sailing area but the calm leadership we received from Thomas gave us the confidence to enjoy our sailing experience to the full. Brigitte was a tirelessly cheerful and thoughtful hostess even rustling up birthday cakes from her tiny galley.

Feb/March 2011 Charter:
The yacht GOOD FORTUNE is very aptly named. It was our good fortune to have sailed with her. We have been on several charters, but none have been as glorious as our stay on Good Fortune this February/March,2011. She is beautifully appointed,very comfortable and well suited to socializing.The boat is immaculately maintained. She sails well; stable and close to the wind. But a memorable trip is not made by the boat alone. It is the people who make it special.
Captain Thomas Truetsch made us feel immediately welcome. He is a superb combination of warmth and efficiency. He anticipated our every need. Thomas is good company without ever being intrusive. He made us feel at home and we came to think of him as a good friend. We had every confidence in his sailing abilities and still he found time to see to our individual desires. Thomas is an excellent sailor and host;thoughtful on both counts. We have never had a more perfect captain.
Eileen Lipsitz prepared delicious meals that were a treat to the eye and palate. She considered all of our preferences and food restrictions and prepared food that was healthful, fresh and creative. She went out of her way to provision the boat with the best of ingredients. We were delighted by the food and wines. She has much sailing experience and was a very good crew mate. Still Eileen found time to be very good company.
Our only regret is that we didn't book a longer charter.We would certainly sail with Thomas on the Good Fortune in the future. Friends have asked us how we would rate our voyage. The answer was immediate; 4 stars on all counts.
