Arthur and Sherri McNary

Captain Arthur and Chef Sherri fully embrace the Caribbean sailing lifestyle and are excited to share their experience of the beautiful Virgin Islands with their guests.  For the last 27 years, Arthur and Sherri have been sailing together. From their first date on a Wednesday night sailing race in Santa Barbara, California, to cruising with their three children throughout the Caribbean.  Arthur and Sherri, owner/operators, are in their fifth season of chartering on Green Flash and their enthusiasm and hospitality will surely make your vacation a trip of a lifetime!



Arthur is a lifelong sailor growing up in Ventura, California and has sailed throughout the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico, South and Central America.  He holds a USCG Master 100GT captains license. Arthur has raced extensively, cruised on all types of boats and has logged thousands of sea miles. Also, being involved in many junior sailing programs with his three children, he is a skilled sailing and water sports instructor.  From surfing, scuba diving, windsurfing, paddle boarding, spear fishing to deep sea fishing, he can certainly share his passion for the sea with all.  Arthur is also an accomplished acoustic guitarist playing island inspired original instrumental songs featured on Pandora internet radio, Itunes and Amazon.



Sherri grew up in Santa Barbara, California.  She has run triathlons, marathons and works out daily.  She is an avid league tennis player and enjoys skin diving, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, running and reading. Cooking and entertaining has always been her biggest passion.  Having raised three children of her own and also coming from a large family, Sherri is the perfect hostess for all ages and understands what it takes to create the most memorable vacation. She has cooked for many charitable and social events. Her flavorful dishes reflect her passion for food. Culinary classes and extensive travel around the world in the off-season have influenced her delicious menus.  She offers a wide variety of flavors including Mediterranean, Mexican and California Coastal Cuisine making for a truly delicious dining experience.



This personable and hospitable couple, with their unique talents and love for the islands, will create a most amazing sailing vacation for their guests.

Our week on     Green Flash was EXCEPTIONAL!!

Arthur and Sherri McNary are owner operators and we felt like guests in their home. The boat was lovely and the food was literally 5-star quality. I cannot overstate how good the food was. Sheri could be a chef in a Michelin starred restaurant. We loved every single meal.

The boat had plenty of toys for our kids and the hosts were very patient and accommodating with them. Finally, Arthur is a great musician and entertained us with his lovely guitar playing.  We highly recommend Green Flash for your other clients. It is best suited for a family of 4 or 5, or one, or perhaps 2, couples. The master cabin is very spacious and the second cabin can accommodate another couple or 3 kids. It would be an ideal yacht to charter for a honeymoon or special occasion.

We had the most amazing family trip.  The Green Flash is a beautiful boat in great condition.  We felt very comfortable with our accommodations and loved sailing to a new fun place every morning.  Arthur and Sherri were great hosts.  Expert sailors, so hospitable and welcoming.
