Captain Omer is very gentle with our guests a very good host when required and speaks English very well. He loves to sail Hic Salta and is an excellent yachtsman. This is a captain that knows nearly every rock and cove on this coastline. Many guests have said they love to cruise with him. A quiet Captain who leads his crew well.
Omer was born in Istanbul, in 1966. He is a graduate of the Navigation School in Istanbul. After graduation he spent much of his time on Cargo vessels cruising in Mediterranean and the Atlantic. In 1991 he came to Bodrum and started to work on private yachts and was employed for 3 years as a skipper on a 18m private motor yacht. In the beginning of 1994 he sailed to the Red Sea with a 27m sailing boat, Flying Accacia, and he was the captain of this yacht until March 1996 operating diving tours in Egypt. From beginning of summer 1996 he came back to Marmaris Turkey and was employed by Valena Yachting for one year on the sailing charter boat Caretta Caretta. Next season he was employed by Ms Nicole Mc. Grain as the captain of L. Anthony 26m classic motor yacht, one of the Little ships of Dunkirk, home port Marmaris, Netsel Marina. During April 1998 he delivered Bora Bora, 23m gaff rigged gulet to Corsica, and from July 1998 he was employed as the Captain of Ecce Navigo. After skippering Ecce Navigo for 6 years then he moved to Australia and sailed in the Whitsunday Islands. He was appointed Captain of HIC SALTA in Jan 2006.

PROFILE: Koksal Aslan, Chef.
Born 1977, Aslan has been working on charter vessels as a chef since 1999. He is now employed as a chef on Hic Salta since beginning of the season 2006. He has a wonderful style of cooking and presenting delicious Traditional Turkish Cuisine which as we know consists of many European disciplines. He loves to use fresh ingredients and is excellent with both fish and meat. He also enjoys cooking some Italian and other international dishes. A happy fellow Aslan speaks good English and some German.
