Imagine waking up each morning to the Caribbean sunrise and your first cup of coffee as the breeze brushes across your face. A morning of lounging in the sun then off to the beach for a gourmet lunch prepared by your own personal chef from the best local ingredients. Afternoon brings water skiing, snorkeling, and the discovery of a historic town full of Caribbean flare. Settling back in a beach lounge with a tropical drink, the afternoon drifts away.
Based in the British Virgin Islands, the heart of the Caribbean Islands, we invite you as our guests to vacation in BVI or any custom Caribbean itinerary of your choice.

HYPNAUTIC Crew Profile
Leo Lynne
Capt. Leo was born and raised in New Jersey, and has been boating since the age of 15. He ‘‘grew up’’ in NYC, so when the University of Southern California presented him with a scholarship he traded cement for sand. With Catalina and Mexico so close, he enrolled in USC’s sailing and deepwater cruising program, and subsequently ended up teaching the courses. When his ‘‘real’’ degree was presented, he entered the world of finance and founded commercial lending offices in CA and NYC. He purchased a 42’ monohull and enjoyed cruising along the California Coast and competed in the Newport to Ensenada Yacht race. Though he put some hardware on the mantel he realized cruising was more his speed. With the 90hr work weeks beginning to lose their luster, he spent some time traveling Europe and accepted an invitation to sail a 44’ Lagoon from France to the US. Truly enamored with the boat and the lifestyle, he headed to his favorite playground - the Caribbean, and joined HYPNAUTIC as Captain. Leo has been coming to the Caribbean for 25 years and has sailed the entire island chain to Venezuela. His experiences have been life changing. His knowledge of the area, coupled with his island friendships, results in a very welcome feel wherever he goes. With stories from around the world and a love for entertaining, Leo has decided it was time to expand the ‘HYPNAUTIC experience’.

Amy Emel
With her mother’s Italian influence, preparing enticing meals is a passion for Amy. With the use of fresh, local ingredients and focus on detail, her meals often exceed the expectations of her guests. She loves the water and has been blessed to have grown up in Southern California. She also lived in the Chesapeake Bay area, the islands of the Azores and Florida’s Emerald Coast. She has sailed the HYPNAUTIC from St. Thomas to the Grendidines. The opportunity to combine both her passions of cooking and the water was enough for her to take a break from her career of nursing and share the islands with her guests.

Capt. Leo and Amy could not have been any nicer or gracious. From the moment we stepped on board they made us feel comfortable and at home. The food was excellent, the itinerary was perfect and by the end of the second day we felt that we were all family. We would recommend the Hypnautic to anyone that wants to go first class and have an enjoyable relaxing and renewing trip.WE will be back
We had the best vacation of our lives on HYPNAUTIC. What a beautiful vessel...comfortable and smooth. Leo and Amy did such a great job making sure we were safe, comfortable and had everything we wanted....making it a very relaxing vacation. Once I even asked about dolphins and Leo jokingly spoke ''cue the dolphins'' into his invisible collar microphone and within 20 minutes they were literally doing flips out of the water right next to the boat!! That earned a new degree of respect for our Captain... We were introduced to incredible new foods while aboard...Amy prepared some amazing local dishes and plated all of her creations with beautiful garnish. Each meal seemed to top the last. Eight days just wasn't enough! - November 13-20, 2011
________
HYPNAUTIC was memorable from the moment we came aboard. Leo and Amy anticipate your every need. More gracious hosts cannot be found. Leo and his puzzles..Amy and her amazing food...including her sensitivity and extra preparation to accommodate a vegetarian in our group. A full moon party, great snorkeling, blue skies and clear water are just a few of the things we enjoyed experiencing. We look forward to our ''2nd time''! - December 6-13,2011
________
The food was simply incredible and the kindness, hospitality and care for our comfort and attention to every detail made it a holiday beyond compare. HYPNAUTIC was a dream. The boat was immaculate and well stocked. Leo and Amy are incredible hosts and new friends. Amy understood we are discerning diners. In regard to meal prep, we upped what in Olympic diving is called 'the degree of difficulty' with Elyse's gluten allergy. Amy earned Straight A's nonetheless. -December 18-26, 2011
________
Leo and Amy gave us spectacular 7 nights and 8 days of heaven. Their competence and attention allowed us to completely relax, enjoy nature and bond as a family. The charter went beyond our expectations. Captain Leo and Chef Amy could not have been more accommodating...so pleasant, calm, funny and interesting. This was our first charter and I know it will not be our last given the joyous time we had. We will be back! - December 27-January 3, 2012
________
What an amazing experience. Leo and Amy are tremendous hosts - totally accommodating, generous and kind. They anticipated our wants/needs in a way that no other place/trip in our experience has. Leo is the best captain - knowledgeable about all local sites, and excellent sailor and all around fabulous guy. He put together a fantastic itinerary understanding exactly what we were looking for. Amy is a complete magician in the kitchen - how she manages to produce restaurant quality (in taste and presentation) in a galley that size is beyond us. Every day was a new adventure from snorkeling to water-skiiing to cock-tailing (a lot..thanks to Leo's tasty concoctions). Leo and Amy were like family at the end. WE look forward to staying in touch as they were sincerely great people who really cared that we had a wonderful time. The boat was spotless and very spacious. January 7-14, 2012
