Captain Simon Davies
Simon was born and raised on the Channel Island of Guernsey. He began sailing at the tender age of nine, racing Mirror dinghies at the Guernsey Yacht Club. Simon trained with the British Commonwealth Swim team and is a British Sub Aqua Association certified diver. After completing school, Simon worked as a boat builder before attending John Moors University in Liverpool, England, where he graduated in Oceanography. Simon returned to Guernsey to manage a marina and it was here that he discovered his future as a yacht captain. He passed the RYA (MCA) Yachtmaster captains course and has not looked back. Simon has now been sailing a wide variety of yachts including a 150ft classic schooner, multihulls like Indigo and performance race yachts for 10 years. He has raced with the British Army team in the Solent and in the Swan Rolex Regatta and the Americas Cup Jubilee in Cowes. Simon has many years of charter experience in waters as diverse as Alaska, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the east coast of the USA and Nova Scotia. He is active and has an adventurous spirit and a love of water sports of all kinds.

Chef Katie
Katie has lived and worked everywhere from Skagway Alaska to London. She is a PADI certified Dive Master and Open Water certified Dive Instructor. She completed all American Sailing Association courses and the STCW. Katie loves to cook and entertain, picking up recipes in places as diverse as New Orleans, San Antonio and Brussels. She attended the Culinary Institute of America in New York and supervised the remodel of Indigo's galley, converting it to a completely stainless steel commercial kitchen. Katie is an accomplished skydiver having made over 100 jumps out of perfectly good airplanes.

First Mate Kellan
Kellan grew up in Seattle, a mecca for sailing and watersports. Pursuing his interest in sailing, he moved to Ft Lauderdale where he completed all the American Sailing Association courses as well as the STCW. He has delivered yachts up and down the east coast of the US, the Bahamas and the Caribbean and Kellan has logged thousands of miles on Indigo, from Florida to Trinidad to Texas. Kellan is a PADI certified Master Diver and an excellent wakeboarder.


This young, vibrant crew will ensure that all of Indigo's charter guests have a great time discovering the wonders of sailing on this fantastic yacht, where ever she may be.
