J. LE GOELAND Main Photo

J. Le Goeland (pronounced gway-lon), named after the book Jonathan Livingston Seagull, was designed by Marc Lombard of Privilege catamarans.

VOYAGER 54 was custom built in France. In fact only three exist in the world, and the level of strength and quality of this catamaran is much higher than a serial production catamaran.

The cat has good sailing performance, real comfort, and is really spacious with an exceptional beam of 31 feet. Great for dancing in the cockpit!

The cabins have king size beds and ensuite bathrooms. The galley is just like home with oven, fridge and large freezer(380 Litres). Lots of space with a living and dining room, plus cockpit area which is protected with solar sunbrellas, where all the seats have pillows.
For energy, a wind generator, solar panels and engine generator are used. For water, there's a water maker on board.

J.LE GOELAND, with owners Christian and Sylvie, as captain and hostess, look forward to sailing with you whilst you discover the most beautiful places in the Caribbean with those breathtaking landscapes.

On J.LE GOELAND you'll have a wonderful holiday and realize your dreams: in tune with Nature, discovery of aquatic life, scooba diving, swimming, or just sleeping on the beach or in the hammock, go fishing or walking on land.

Of course, you'll drink some Caribbean cocktails at sunset, and enjoy delicious french and creole dishes, especially fresh fish on the barbecue!

If you have a birthday, a honeymoon or any kind of special event just let Christian and Sylvie know and they'll organize something special!

It will be a pleasure to charter this catamaran, so you can discover how sweet life is on J.LE GOELAND in the Caribbean. See you soon!

J. LE GOELAND Crew Profile

Christian and Sylvie were both born in the South of France, close to the Mediteranean Sea. The ocean and boats have been part of their lives since they were children. Their parents have always had boats and they've spent most of their childhood sailing with family in the Mediteranean.
It's the same for Cyril, their 11 year old son. He was still a baby when he spent his first holiday on their fammily yacht.

In France, Christian owned a Citroën mechanical company and Sylvie was a teacher at the local University. Both are used to interacting with many people. In his free time, Christian likes to sail, dive and fish. Sylvie likes to sail, cook and dance. She also has spent a lot of free time studying energetic therapies.

In 2007, they decided to travel the world, for several years, sailing on a catamaran. They wanted to experience a new way of life: taking time for family life, discovering different countries, meeting new people, enjoying nature, teaching their son, practicing hobbies...

They bought "J.LE GOELAND" at the end of 2007, prepared it for a world sailing tour and left the South of France in September 2008. The dream was on!

Since then they have sailed from CAP d'Agde in South of France to Balearics islands, Spain, Morocco, Gibraltar, Madeira Island, Canary Islands, Cape Verde Islands, and crossed the Atlantic to Martinique in 12 days. They plan to spend the Winter Season in the Caribbean and then visit Puerto Rico, Cuba, Mexican Gulf, Belize and Costa Rica before crossing Panama to go to the Pacific.

One of the main goals of their world tour is to stop for a while in SRI-LANKA. They have been there many times since they are active in the Sri-Lankan "MAHA KARUNA", and want to return again. Sylvie has developed, in the last fifteen years,a sensibility to energetic therapies and Ayurveda.

Christian is a dynamic and friendly captain. His favorite activities are diving (with or without scuba) and fishing. He spends so much time in the water...he's like a fish! He likes discovering new places to dive and showing guests the best underwater adventures. He's also the "King" of fish barbecues. His other specialty is lobsters with aïoli.

Sylvie, the hostess and chef, is very attentive to the guest's needs and their comfort on board. Sylvie has a quiet nature with a wonderful smile. Sylvie's main aquatic activities are swimming and snorkeling, along with some water skiing. She reads a lot and practices energetic therapies and yoga, and enjoys sharing that with anyone that is interested. Sylvie speaks French and English and also a little Spanish. Sylvie cooks mainly French or Caribbean, with some Spanish occasionally from her Spanish roots.

Cyril is a quiet eleven year old boy;he reads a lot and is very interested in chemistry, science and physics.
He's respectful with the guests and enjoys learning new languages by speaking with the guests. He really likes walking in wild nature trails, and spending time in the sea. When chartering, Cyril enjoys acting as a guide on his favorite islands - especially Tobago Cays where he loves to show the guests the iguanas in the trees!
