Vessel Overview: LA DOLCE VITA, a 100’ Hargrave Raised Pilothouse has many unique features. The yacht’s exterior has beautiful clean lines with seamless windows. The open flybridge with convertible top is just as sexy in viewing as it is in use. The interior is and has a Rock and Roll theme throughout. The most prominent colors on the yacht are the Gloss Cherry Wood and Camphoe Burl Wood with accents of taupe, cream or slate blue.

Work Experience: Captain Matt grew up in the Midwest along the Mississippi River. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a Masters in both Engineering and Business, Matt pursued a career in hospitality in the U.S. In 2006, he made the transition to sail boats in the British Virgin Islands. After 8 years sailing on various sailboats and (including owning and operating one for 6 years), he made the move to larger yachts. He has extensive knowledge of the Caribbean islands, and a great passion for showing guests the beauty of the tropics. Whether you are looking for a secluded beach or a beautiful anchorage or exciting marina, Captain Matt will ensure your needs are met.

Work Experience: Chef Melissa has spent the last 8 years working on yachts delighting guests and crew alike with her French-inspired, island-infused cooking. Melissa grew up in southwest Indiana, and after graduating from Indiana University, she moved to Chicago to begin her pursuit in culinary arts where she graduated from The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago. After working several years within restaurants and the hospitality industry, she moved onto sailing yachts in the British Virgin Islands, where she worked with her husband Matt on various-sized sailing yachts and finally settling down on their own charter boat. From there she moved onto larger yachts and is now on La Dolce Vita, where her love for cooking and presentation is evident in every dish. Her food can best be described as fresh, flavorful and exciting.

Work Experience: Owen grew up in a rural environment north of Auckland, New Zealand. After completing a plumbing apprenticeship he moved to the South Island to advance his career. After a few house renovations and having worked so long in the cold south, it was time for something new. Yachting seemed a perfect choice. Having sailed extensively through the South Pacific and South East Asia on his first yacht, a desire to see the Caribbean and Med developed and a shift was made to the northern hemisphere. After 18 months on a private 450ft yacht and meeting Amanda, the shift to La Dolce Vita was made which included charters in the Virgin Islands and Bahamas. Owen has been yachting for 54 years and has a love for scuba diving, mountain biking and great food.

Work Experience: Amanda is from small town New Zealand, in the scenic South Island. After running a business importing products from America, and a few years in the travel industry at home, it was time to move on and explore the world. Amanda booked a one-way ticket to Antibes, France and landed her first role on a large private yacht in 2012. After seeing what the Med and Caribbean have to offer, she is glad to have made the move into yachting. Now with a couple of seasons chartering in the Virgin Islands and Bahamas on La Dolce Vita, Amanda is well equipped to exceed your needs.

LA DOLCE VITA can accommodate 8 guests in 4 cabins. The Master cabin has a king size bed, shower and toilet. 2 Guest cabins have a queen size bed, shower and toilet. A Guest cabin has a twin bed, shower and toilet. LA DOLCE VITA is fully air conditioned through out. Crew has a separate heads and shower.
