LADY BOU BOU Crew Profile

Captain Blake Smith
Lady Bou Bou's Australian born captain, Blake Smith has a passion for anything water based. Having grown up around boats it is not surprising that becoming a professional yacht captain was his natural choice as a career.
Blake has spent the last ten years working on busy charter and privately owned motorboats and has been a Captain since 2006. His experience and dedication means that he will ensure that your charter follows exactly what you are looking for, whether it is idyllic deserted coves or the hustle and bustle of a busy port.
Whenever he has some free time Blake will be found surfing or kite surfing or up in the mountains snowboarding.
Chef Erik
The chef on board, Erik, comes from Montreal, Canada. He followed his passion for food through the rigorous training to achieve Cordon Bleu certification. As a professional chef he has designed menus for restaurants and has worked throughout western Canada in various resorts. His cuisine has a French style with a mixture of Mediterranean, Mexican and Asian. Erik grows his own food as much as possible whilst he is at home in the Yukon territory and therein lies the basis of his cooking ethic.
Erik believes that the best dishes come from whole foods that are procured locally if possible. He chooses to make his own stocks and sauces himself, using natural healthy ingredients. Erik is an avid sailor, and has sailed all through the Caribbean with his father and brother throughout his life. He is not only the chef but the deckhand on board as well.
Stewardess Laura
Laura is your stewardess onboard. Laura grew up in England in a family of boat builders and sailors and with a love for hospitality; an area in which she has spent ten years. Working on yachts is the perfect combination for her.
As your stewardess, she will ensure that you have everything you need, whether that be quiet calm or something more lively.
She she understands it’s the little things that can make a holiday memorable and delights in creating special touches every day.
Laura loves anything water based whether that is wake boarding, diving or kite surfing.
LADY BOU BOU Testimonials
Lady Bou Bou Guest comments
I spent a wonderful week with my parents cruising on Lady Bou-Bou in the southern Grenadines this February (2012). We had a truly wonderful week of sailing and were looked after beautifully by (Captain) Blake Smith and his crew.
The yacht is luxuriously comfortable and spotlessly clean, the food delicious and the service immaculate. We were thoroughly spoiled in every way possible. Blake found ideal moorings for us every night, peaceful places of great beauty and calm, which was just what we had asked for.
This was our first experience of cruising in these islands and we are already planning our return next year....seven days was certainly not long enough
