LADY SHARON GALE Crew Profile

Captain Mike Alfieri

Captain Mike has worked for the owner of Lady Sharon Gale for the past ten years and chartered extensively on both the 112’ Broward and the 80’ Cheoy Lee LADY SHARON GALE.   Captain Mike has completed over 20 very successful charters on the current Lady Sharon Gale and after completing the summer refit and gearing up with all of the new toys, he looks forward to welcoming you on board.  Mike is originally from Michigan where he spent most of his childhood on the water and was actively involved in the 12 meter sailing circuit.  Upon leaving Michigan he spent twelve years working in Alaska as a welder and pipefitter.    After moving from Alaska to California he got into the fishing sector of the business and spent many years sport fishing from the Sea of Cortez up to Southeast Alaska and this evolved in the transition onto private and charter mega yachts.  Mike is an avid fisherman, certified Scuba diver and was a professional archer.  Growing up, his passion was always to retire and be on the water and instead of waiting until then, he has been able to combine this passion into a professional yacht captain job and enjoy life daily doing what he loves.  Mike has cruised the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and New England and now owns property in St. Martin, a destination he thoroughly enjoys and this will comfort guests with his local knowledge and expertise.

Marija Martens is the chief stewardess on board and has worked with Captain Mike on board Lady Sharon Gale for many years.  They have completed over 20 extremely successful charters and look forward to having guests on board.  Marija worked on the smaller LADY SHARON GALE Marija is a well rounded crew member and team player who assist Mike with all facets of the yacht from the interior to the exterior and the toys.  She is originally from Macedonia and went to school in London to study the English language.  After a vacation in St. Martin with some friends, Marija fell in love with the Caribbean and decided to stay for awhile. She then spent the next several years working for a yacht provisioning company in St. Martin and got the “yachting bug”, she signed on with Captain Mike to do charters on LADY SHARON GALE and has enjoyed it even since.  Marija loves to dance and practiced traditional folkdance from her country; she also enjoys art, travel and reading. Her latest passion has been cooking and she eventually plans on taking culinary classes to be a trained chef.  She is a wonderful cook and often practices on the owner’s of LADY SHARON GALE.  Marija, along with Mike will make sure that everyone’s expectations are not only met but exceeded!

 Chef Alexander Sattler

Chef Alexander is originally from Austria and began his career in high end restaurants in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.   He also spent some time in restaurants in the South Pacific and then his adventuresome spirit ended him in Virgin Gorda as the Executive Chef at Leverick Bay.   He enjoyed the islands so much and the constant influx of yachts coming and going; he decided to combine his love of cooking along with time on the water.   He has done many charters on both sailing and motor yachts and is thrilled to be on board LADY SHARON GALE and do many successful charters.  Alexander is versatile, easy going and hopes to delight guests with his culinary creations.
