CAPTAIN JIM BOYER's experience with boats is varied and extensive, starting at an early age. In addition to owning and operating many sail and motor yachts over the years, he has served as a charter captain aboard a Swan 57, a Gulfstar 63, an Irwin 46, and an 80' motor yacht. He was also a delivery captain on the Schooner America. Captain Boyer was actively engaged in the Whitbread Round the World Races during their stopovers in South Florida. A previous Florida licensed yacht broker, he operated a family brokerage business in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. He holds all the apropriate USCG licenses. Captain Boyer also has a background in the field of aviation in the civil and military sectors. He is a certified flight instructor in airplanes and helicopters and was an airline captain for over 30 years. Living in the Bahamas for three years - Nassau and Marsh Harbor - afforded him the opportunity to become very familiar with the local coves, beaches, places to go and things to do. In addition to his love of sailing and all water sports, Jim enjoys beach activities and meeting people. His wide-ranging interests include the theater, the ballet, travel, motorcycles and Corvettes! CHEF / MATE IRMA CROES, with many years experience in sailing and yachting - including racing her own boats. Irma is enchanted with the charter experience. She loves all water sports, dancing, and especially cooking. Irma began cooking seriously while helping out in the kitchen of her Italian friends. Later she added more culinary diversity during her travels in South America, Central America, the USA and Europe. Irma always has a smile and is known for her great humor.
