Captain Albert RodrÃguez
A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, he started his career as a mate on sportfishing boats, then ferries as a delivery Captain. The son of a fisherman, Captain Albert says, “I was born on the water.” He has been with the Owner of LA VIDA for four years and helped with the yacht’s design. Alberto also manages seven boats for the Owner, which entails him to do extensive travel through the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic.
Chef Michael Mondor
Chef Michael was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. He has traveled the world by land and sea, while working in the culinary industry for the past 26 years.
From dishwasher to Executive Chef, from the desert of Israel to the swank eateries of London, England and home to the high end bistros of Montreal, there isn’t a lot Chef Michael done or seen when it comes to food. He changed venues for the oceans for reason of travel and the change of life. He spent one year aboard MAN OF STEEL and was crew chef on TOTALLY NUTS. Chef Mike is looking forward to creating wonderful dishes that the guests on LA VIDA will not forget. His favorite cuisine is French, but since working on LA VIDA, he is honing his culinary skills in Latin American cuisine.
Mate Litonya “Toni” Jones
Toni is a great addition to the crew of LA VIDA. She made her way to working on yachts by way of spending one summer on a dude ranch in Wyoming. While working there, she met a family that had a son working as a Captain. Last October she flew down to Ft. Lauderdale and this Captain showed her the ropes and she loved it! Toni felt comfortable on the water. Can you believe this from a girl who grew up in Idaho? Toni is an energetic person who enjoys seeking adventure. She says she is always looking for a challenge. Toni has worked on other boats ranging from 68’ to 100’, but looking forward to a long run on LA VIDA.
