Captain
Julian Cope British
Julian Cope has been involved with yachting and the sea for 26 years. Brought up on the island of Malta he went to sea at age 18. He has circum-navigated the world four times and commanded yachts up to 75m. He has also spent some six years as a Maritime History Researcher working within a company which specialised in deep water cargo recovery and treasure wrecks. Julian holds a Masters 3000 ton license and has covered more than three hundred thousand miles at sea. Julian's interests are diving, sailing, and reading.

Daniel Baker British
Dan is entering his 12th year in the yachting industry, 4 of which have been spent on Leander. He now holds his Master of Yachts 3000Gt ticket. Previously, he has cruised extensively throughout the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Asia and the UK. His passion lies mainly with anything nautical but he also enjoys golf, tennis, football, cooking and literature.

British
Michael is a qualified Master of Yachts 3000 gt having skippered many yachts prior to joining Leander. He has cruised all over the world including the Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and Southern Atlantic and has completed 16 Atlantic crossings. His interests include playing the piano and guitar, scuba diving, underwater video, flying and golf.

Paul Seabright
British
Paul has an unlimited Class 2 ticket with an Y1 endorsement. He served a Cadetship and sailed extensively with P&O. He has also sailed as Chief Engineer on board square rigged sailing training ships. Paul has high level IT skills that were enhanced whilst working as Software Engineer with Kodak. He has a keen interest in all things technological, enjoys reading and driving fast cars.

Philip Gilboy British
Philip joined Leander as a 2nd Engineer and after passing all his Class 1 exams, he has been promoted to Junior Chief Engineer. He was born and raised in Newcastle Upon Tyne in the North East of England. Before joining Leander he previously worked for a major cruise company for twelve years, cruising worldwide whilst working through the ranks from Cadet to Chief Engineer.

British
Andy is a new addition to the Yachting sector after having spent the last 11 years working as an Engineer on commercial vessels, such as Oil Tankers and Liquid Natural Gas carriers. His hobbies include swimming, skiing and hill walking.

Andy Fraser joined Leander a year ago after attaining his Class II Certificate. Andy has worked on a variety of vessels including large cruise ships, tankers and Ro-Ro vessels. On leave from Leander, he enjoys spending time in North Wales walking with family, dogs and reading Autobiographies.

Leander is David’s first Yacht. He has come from a commercial background having worked on large container vessels and bulk carriers. He completed his Merchant Navy Cadetship and obtained his Officer of the Watch unlimited Certificate. His hobbies include hill walking and kayaking.

Richard is relatively new to the Yachting Industry. His trade is in Carpentry and Cabinet Making. He has a passion for design and furniture making and is a keen sports-man, playing rugby for the prestigious Eveasham RFU. He also loves football, swimming, golf and most water sports.

Fabio, aged 19, is new to the Yachting Industry. He is a keen sportsman and has qualified as a personal fitness instructor, wakeboard/water ski instructor and snow ski instructor. His hobbies include running, football and rugby.

Jonathan comes from a sailing background having sailed recreationally and raced competitively, mainly out of Sydney, Australia. He has a degree in Architecture and is looking to branch into Yacht Design in the future. He is a keen windsurfer and enjoys all other forms of water sports.

Mark Guerin comes from London and joined the yachting industry 6 years ago after an extensive background in the hospitality industry. Mark's previous position in yachting was Head of Interior before making the transition to the Deck Department. He is now working towards his Officer of the Watch. His other interests are boxing, keeping fit and economics.

Joe originates from the picturesque scenery of the Cotswolds, UK. His interest in yachting started in his late teens, when he would make frequent trips to the south coast of England to sail the tidal waters of the Solent. Joe offers a bright and enthusiastic demeanour, and a positive outlook on life. As well as being a qualified Yachtmaster, Joe has passions for travel, music and team sports.

Rob is originally from Zimbabwe, where his love for the water began, growing up on Lake Kariba. Having studied hospitality, and living in the US for the past 4 years, he decided to do his Yachtmaster Day Skipper course and work in the yachting industry. He loves all sports, especially rugby and cricket. His hobbies include fishing, diving and most water sports.

Bryson is new to the Yachting industry. He is a qualified Surf Life Saver who has a background in defence and Rural Fire Fighting. He is a keen surfer that also enjoys wakeboarding, diving and fishing.

Isabel has now been on board Leander for over 5 years. She has a strong administrative background. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish. Isabel is a keen scuba-diver and holds both a Dive Instructor Certificate and a Commercial Diving Certificate. Her other hobbies include underwater photography, traveling, driving and reading.

Antonio attended hospitality school in France and worked as a Maitre'D in a Michelin restaurant. He spent two years in London working in a five star Hotel. He managed a French restaurant in Melbourne before joining Leander. Antonio is fluent in Spanish, English and French. He enjoys reading, opera, and sports.

After obtaining a degree in Social Science – majoring in Eco-Tourism at the University of Newcastle Australia, Lisa pursued her keen interest in travel and stumbled upon the Yachting industry. She has been in the Yachting Industry for 5 years, 2 of which she spent on board Leander in 2006. Lisa is an active crew member who enjoys all types of sports; including long distance running, scuba diving and has recently started kite surfing.

Jo has a 17 year Yachting career, having worked on some of the largest Yachts in the industry and has recently rejoined Leander for the 3rd time. She comes from an award winning hotel background in the Lake District, which is where her passion for cooking stems from. She enjoys diving, traveling, skiing and renovating antique furniture.

Gaynor has recently returned to yachting with over 5 years prior experience as Crew Chef. Gaynor graduated in Graphic Design at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design and has more recently qualified as an Accounts Technician while employed as Office Accounts Manager for an IT consultancy based in Cheshire. Gaynor enjoys traveling, sightseeing and movies.

Ambre joined the yachting industry almost 5 years ago after having graduated from the University of Exeter with a combined honour in French and Italian. She has a keen passion for travel, foreign languages and exploring different cultures. Prior to yachting, she worked as commis de bar in the Four Seasons in Paris and as a legal translator for an International Law Firm in Milan. She enjoys running, cycling, wakeboarding, foreign literature and meeting new people.

With years of experience in the hospitality industry, Tinna started yachting in 2007. She has now rejoined Leander, after taking a break to study Make up Artistry & Special Effects in Denmark, which she has a keen interest in. Tinna also enjoys photography and traveling.

Having achieved a distinction in complimentary therapies, Laura has used her masseuse skills to work in some of the most luxurious spas as well as onboard cruise liners. Her 5 years of experience within 5 star hospitality, plus the passion to travel has driven her to pursue a career in the yachting industry. Some of Laura's favourite activities include water sports, training at the gym and enjoying fine cuisine.

On completing school Amelie spent two years travelling the world before settling back in the UK to study Architecture at Nottingham University. She then spent a ski season in Val D’Isere where she discovered the yachting industry and hasn’t looked back since. She is a passionate dancer, has been involved in productions at Her Majesty’s Theatre, the London Palladium and the Royal Albert Hall, and still enjoys attending classes whenever possible.

Susan is new to the yachting industry after deciding on a career change from her previous position in business management. Originally from Perth Australia, Suze spends her time off horse riding, wake boarding, running and enjoying a beach side lifestyle when she isn't traveling.

LEANDER G can accommodate 12 guests in 8 cabins. The Master cabin has a king size bed, shower and toilet. 3 Guest cabins have a queen size bed, shower and toilet. 3 Guest cabins have a double bed, shower and toilet. A Guest cabin has a king size bed, shower and toilet. LEANDER G is fully air conditioned through out. Crew has a separate companionway, heads and shower.
