LEO Main Photo

LEO is a brand new model of sailboat built by CNB. Very fast in the slightest breath of air thanks to its carbon rigging, D4 carbon Aramide sails and its modern hull designed by Philippe Briand - it is very comfortable both under sail and at anchor.

Created by Jean Marc Piaton, this is an elegant and functional sailboat with some clever innovations : the saloon is spacious and light, the dining table unfolds to form two coffee tables, the sofa transforms into two armchairs for more comfort at sea; the guests' cabins have double or single beds according to the passenger's wishes and one has a bunk bed for a child.

On deck, the cockpit table drops and opens up a vast sundeck; the awnings and canopies are camouflaged in the roof; the annexe is tucked away in the rear skirt in 5 minutes, and opens up a beautiful bathing platform with a high level, secure pool ladder. Circulation from one end of the boat to the other is easy as the deck is uncluttered with large open spaces.

The crew area is concentrated at the rear with a large, convivial and well equipped kitchen, including a good wine store. This is a very quiet boat, the layout and insulation of machines has been thought out to provide perfect acoustic comfort.

LEO Crew Profile

Captain : Eddy Guzman, 44 years old
Nationality: French
Languages: English, French, and Spanish
Diploma : Yacht Masters 200 tons unlimited license

Captain Eddy Guzman started travelling at a young age with his parents. The rest of his childhood was mostly spent in Paris. His love for sailing began when he started taking up the sport through his school.
He had his first racing experience, aged ten, on an Optimist sailboat, and continued racing on all kinds of boats - like 470, Tornado and single-handed offshore boats. After some years as a sailing instructor, he came ashore and worked in an office job in the medical field; however, the call of the sea drew him back to his first love – sailing!
In addition to teaching aspiring sailors he has worked as a water skiing instructor. Eddy holds a Yacht Masters 200 tons unlimited license, and is fluent in English, French, and Spanish. He has skippered boats up to 105’ to include the Eastern and Western Med and Croatia and the Balearics, as well as having cruised the entire Caribbean, encompassing a career of 20 years.
Still, the best thing about Captain Eddy Guzman is his winning smile and “can do” personality, coupled with his hands-on capability with sailing and mechanics to ensure an excellent time on board.

Stewart-Mate : Yann LEMOEN, French, 32 years old
Nationality : French
Languages : French, fluent English & Spanish
Diploma : STCW 95, Rigger, Sailing and Kiting Instructor

Yann was keen on sailing from a young age; then, following his studies he decided to make his career in this field - as a technician and a sailing instructor for the first years, and then he specialized in sailmaking, working in Europe and in the Caribbean.
He loves the wind and the magic of the sails, and finds installing sails on boats very interesting. After 5 years of saillofts experience he bought his own 32’ sailing yacht and sailed around the Atlantic for a few years.
Then he decided to join larger yachts and crossed the Atlantic on LEO, later on joining MAITA’I (Sunreef 74’) for a few months.
Now back on LEO, he is attentive to guests and will offer all the service you need to enjoy your holidays. He is calm and kind, always eager to share good navigation and water sports activities.

Charter in Adriatic (Kotor-Split) - 07-16th of July 2016:
We have just had a fantastic time on Léo.Eddy, Yann and David were brilliant. We told them to their faces and now I’m telling you.You probably know it already but there is no harm in praising people when they do a fantastic job.Your organisation was also very professional and made the whole charter process much easier. So a big thank you to all concerned.

Charter in Italy (Naples-Sicily) - 23-30 th of August 2015:
Muchas Gracias por estas inolvidables vacaciones a bordo del Léo. Lo hemos pasado estupendamente con vosotros. Esperamos volver a navegar con vosotros muy pronto.

Charter in Corsica (Bonifacio/Olbia)- 12-19th of August 2015:

The sailing trip around Corsica & Sardinia has been amazing! Thank you all for being so sweet and attentive. You are all one of a kind and very talented!  The food was amazing, the water ski lessons were awesome, and the service was top! Léo is an extremely lovely yacht and the crew could not be better. I am so happy that this was the experience for my first time ever sailing!

Charter in Corsica - 25th of July -8th of August 2015:
Nous avons fait une merveilleuse croisière sur Léo grâce à la gentillesse et au professionnalisme d'Eddy et ses "marinettes". Le bateau lui-même est en tout point parfait allure et confort. Nous avons pu le faire marcher et apprécier ses performances.

We have done a wonderful charter on Léo, thanks to Eddy and his team 's kindness and the professionalism. The Yacht is by herself perfect on both aspects, race/speed and comfort. We had the chance to sail well and estimate her performance.

Our comments
  Beautiful from all points of view
  Streamlined looks and understated profile, as it befits true sailing
lovers ( in a milieu crowded mostly by motor yachts of indecent
dimensions )
              State-of-the art sailing technology
  Extremely comfortable layout, both on deck and inside. We were
four, together with our twenty-plus year old daughters, and all
enjoyed extreme comfort.
  Immaculate maintenance, both of the technical fittings, of the
interiors and of all the furnishings
  As we planned and wished, we spent all our time sailing. On
such a high performing sailing boat, with the help of an incredibly perfect weather, it was a very rewarding week

  By all means the crew is, in our opinion, the most outstanding point of excellence of Léo’s
  Capt. Eddy Guzman and his crew ( Rénault and Deborah) are all highly skilled professionals, both in sailing and in all other aspects of seafaring
  Even more important, they are all extremely pleasant persons. Friendly, helpful, impeccable at all times. For us they made the difference between, say, a very good holiday and a superlative one
  The sailing experience of the Captain and of his Mate is world class, and gave us a feeling of total serenity, no matter what could have happened ( you never know, at sea )
  Deborah’s cuisine deserves a special mention: super. Out of her galley came the most varied, healthy and entertaining cuisine one could ever think of on a sailing yacht.

Charter  St Vincent & Grenadines 29th December 2014 - 05th January 2015

"The charter has been a success and the crew has been fantastic. We all thoroughly enjoyed the time spent on Leo and the sailing was spectacular".

Charter  South of France 27th August - 03rd September 2014

« Nous avons passé des journées magnifiques sur ce beau bateau que, grâce à votre joli cadeau nous avons photographié de long en large avec tous ses occupants.
La navigation de nuit était sublime et vraiment sympathique.
Le capitaine et son équipage étaient très compétents, discrets, chaleureux et dynamiques. La cuisine était légère et goûteuse exactement comme on l'aime.
On ne peut dire mieux qu'ils ont suscité en nous l'envie de revenir ».

Charter  Mediterranean 29th July-05th August 2014

« We are back on shore in south of France.  Except from the main sail, it was a perfect week.
The team of Eddy, Enora and Guillame are very nice people.  So finally we do think about coming back on Leo, having a real sailing experience with full sails.”

Charter 1 : Mediterranean  10th-15th June 2014

"Now that we are back in NY, I wanted to be a bit more expansive in our praise for our trip on Leo.  Captain Eddie is a lot of fun and runs a tight ship as well.  We always felt safe and he was willing to let us try our hands at sailing as well as relax.   He's a great host and knows how to take cues from the family about what keeps everyone happy.  I have never seen my children more relaxed and happy.  And so were Donna and I.
Our relatively early departure in the only difficult weather was a challenge   as we debarked by dinghy in relatively rough water as it was too hard to make it into hyeres shallow harbor.  Eddie and the crew kept the family calm and mostly dry and it came off without a hitch.
Enora is a magnificent chef and every meal was inspired.  I don't know haw she does it in a ships galley - but Leo has an amazing galley.  She is also he unusual person who seems very happy when the family is happy.
Margot worked well with the family too and my children fell in love with Enora and Margot both.
Everyone spoke excellent English and there were no problems communicating.
We could not recommend everyone more highly - nor Leo which was the perfect sail for our trip.   Thank you, too, for putting us together and making our first charter a terrific experience."
