Captain Andrestarted his sea adventures fishing offshore with his father. At the age of 11he started to develop his sailing passion and continued to sail dinghiescompetitively for the next 7 years including representing the Azores andPortugal. By the age of 18, he left home to pursue a professional career.
In the beginningAndre worked as Mate with different captains and crews around the world sailingover 70000 nautical miles crossing all Oceans, visiting and absorbingmulticultural knowledge. Two years ago he returned to the dream of captaining hisown boat and run smaller charter boats. As the Captain of LUCY Z he is now focusingon building an amusing and very professional team with good energy.
First Mate:Sylvain Brunet
Sylvain originatesfrom Mali but has been raised in France. Apart from being a sailor and a divinginstructor, he is also a musician, an artist and a passionate traveler. Havingvisited over 30 countries since the age of 19, he decided to transit from landto sea after his last crossing of the Sahara. For the last 6 years he has beensailing and diving through the Atlantic, Caribbean and Mediterranean seas aswell as the Siam Gulf with only one desire – as he puts it – “to explore the biggestdesert of all: the Sea.”
Stewardess/Masseuse- Therapist: Paphatsarin Jaroensap
Paphatsarin graduatedin Master of Architecture (Industrial Design) in 2009. She worked as a graphicdesigner for 4 years. Since then, shehas been interested in alternative treatment such as traditional Thai massage,Chiropractic and Chinese massage. In 2011, she has successfully completed atraining program “Rebalancing the Body with Holistic Health Care” in Thailand. In2014, she moved to London where she worked for Kobkun Thai Therapy as aspecialist therapist.
Chef: Yuliia Sukhan
Economist by education, Chef by passion. After graduating from Kharkiv National University of Economics with a BA in Management and Marketing, Yulia decided to develop her endless passion for food. She gathered experience working in numerous restaurants in Kiev, where she had a chance to work with prominent Ukrainian Chefs. After she decided to join the yachting industry she worked as a Stewardess onboard power yachts MY FROG and TUTYA respectively. Yulia has therefore extensive experience in providing top quality service to high profile clients and has a keen eye for detail. Trying to improve her skills, she has recently qualified for Silver Service. Very kind and attentive to people’s needs, she makes every effort to ensure that guests will enjoy every moment of their stay onboard LUCY Z.
