We hope your charter lived up to your expectations. We would love to know some of your impressions about your yachting vacation. Please answer the following questions and add any comments you may have.

1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Peter and Colleen were wonderful in every way. Their kindness, caring, good nature, humor, and friendship made our sailing experience truly the "best holiday" ever!

2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
All accommodations were more than we had imagined. The yacht was not only comfortable and spotless, it provided spaces for group gatherings, quiet moments, and relaxation. It was an amazing "home away from home"!

3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes, we loved the hatches which provided a nightly view to the sky, as well as good ventilation.

4. Was the food good and well presented?
This was one of the many "best things" about our trip. Colleen is an expert chef who prepared everything with our wishes in mind. We felt as if we were in a 5 star restaurant every day. The variety, flavors, and lightness of the food, as well as the beautiful presentation made us exclaim in "awe" each day!

5. Did you like the area you sailed?
Yes. This was our first experience in the islands and Peter and Colleen took us to beautiful snorkeling areas, quiet places for swimming and island hiking, as well as their knowledge of the area provided us with the history and background of each area. We really loved it all!

6. Could we have helped you further in any way?
Our holiday was more than we had hoped for....and expected. Each person in your organization helped us in any way we needed. It was truly an "Adventure in Paradise"!

7. May we post this review on our website?
Yes

8. Additional comments on your charter?
Peter and Colleen were wonderful in every way. We loved our time with them and count them among our many friends. Their expertise as "Yacht hosts", chefs, and personal attendants made this a wonderful experience in every way. We all felt sad as we departed the Madiba and hope to return in the future. We have already recommended the trip to several friends and have encouraged them to request sailing with Peter and Colleen on the Madiba. Thank you for providing an "Adventure in Paradise" for us!

MARCH 2014

We had a wonderful time on our Madiba charter. By far the most relaxing enjoyable vacation we have had in recent with our family. We have already recommended Madiba and you guys to so many of our friends.
The boat was very clean and suited our needs beautifully. Beds were comfortable, all is well appointed and we had plenty of space for a family of 4. I do not think pictures of the outside table area do justice to how spacious it is. Colleen and Peter are highly professional and organized and they were just the right fit for us. They took very good care of us, they were accommodating and personable, but they maintained some professional distance as well which we appreciated. We never felt like we needed to entertain them. They knew intuitively when to be around and when just to give us some time as a family. They work very hard to make everything smooth and to take all the worries off your shoulders for the week. They are an excellent team and they do their job well. Colleen served us lovely food and had such pretty table settings- you could see that she cared about making things nice.  Peter always said yes when the kids wanted to ski or snorkel or kayak and he was patient as they tried to learn new skills. We loved being able to be so close to the water all the time, to jump in and out as suited us, to be able to enjoy lovely meals with our family without having to deal with all of the prep and clean up that comes with every day life, to have access to all of the fun toys the boat carries. It was an ideal break and we look forward to doing it again. Peter is an accomplished, steady, mature captain and I felt like our family was in excellent hands. Both he and Colleen were great at directing us to the best the BVI had to offer and giving us background about the place. Delightful! Thank you for pairing us with this lovely boat and team.

Best, Kristie and Martin

Comment on the comfort onboard Madiba:   Perfect .

Comment on the condition of Madiba:  Excellent

Comment on the cleanliness of Madiba: Couldn’t have been better.

The bed, lounge and outdoor areas were very clean and comfortable.  Colleen and Peter were always cleaning up – the bathroom was cleaned multiple times per day, our beds were made within a hour of getting up and turned down with water and chocolates at night.  The boat was spotless and in perfect condition.  The AC, fans and lights in our cabin were essential and worked perfectly.  Equipment (dive, snorkel, kajak, tube, etc) all in excellent condition.

Comment on the congeniality of the Captain and crew:  Wonderful

Comment on the service of the Captain and crew: Spectacular

Comment on the fun aspect of the Captain and crew:  Great

Comment on the expertise of the Captain and crew:  Beyond expectations

Colleen and Peter could not have been better hosts.  They were friends by the end of the trip, but never skipped a beat to wait on us at all times.  Between helping Jeff catch fish, to getting out the paddleboard the minute I said, I think I might like to go paddle boarding, they were right there.   Peter was an invaluable dive master, patient with our new divers and very informed.  They knew so much about the area and took us to beautiful places and were extremely responsive to our requests.

Comment on the quality of your meals: Fabulous

Comment on the presentation of your meals: Beautiful

I’m an excellent cook myself, and we are all avid foodie, so I expected that this would be the most difficult aspect of the trip to meet my expectations, but I was wrong.  The food was absolutely gourmet – breakfast, lunch and dinner.  I was amazed at how beautiful and tasty everything was, and how also how Colleen didn’t cut corners one bit.  Even the snacks available throughout the day were perfect for us.  They responded to everything on our questionnaire plus added so much more.

William's family charter, May, 2012

Hi,

We had a great time on Madiba.  It exceeded our expectations in every way.  We loved Peter and Colleen!  Colleen is warm, friendly, easy to talk to, and from the first moment made us feel comfortable and at home.  Peter is incredibly patient and kind and always prepared for any activity we wanted to do.  We felt completely safe in his very capable hands.  They catered to our every whim, and did it with a smile.  They are natural hosts and know how to make guests feel simultaneously like royalty and like family.

The food was delicious.  I was most impressed with how fresh everything was.  Colleen had obviously paid attention to our food preferences.  Every single meal was a gourmet treat.  I only wish I'd eaten more!

The boat was terrific.  Every amenity we could have wanted and impeccably clean. It was like staying in a hotel with daily (sometimes hourly) maid service--something I hadn't expected.  The thing I liked best is that Peter and Colleen do this enormous amount of work seemingly without effort.  It felt like everything was being accomplished magically.

In short,
Madiba was perfect, and we would charter her again in a heartbeat.

Best,

Amy

Thank you so much. It was awesome! The girls and I missed

Colleen’s cooking this week already. The meals were amazing .

Presentation, taste, variety, everything was perfect! Meals were our

topic of discussion everyday wondering what would be for lunch and

dinner. Peter was great too. Diving was wonderful. Great sites and

really cool commentary from Peter who is a very well read historian .

Colleen made perfect use of our preference lists and couldn't have

been with two more gracious hosts. I have already reccomended you and

your service and this boat to many people. I would love to write a

more detailed letter to you soon. It was the best trip as a family I

have ever taken!! Really cool to have my entire family within 45 feet

all week! It was like eating at my favorite restaurant everyday with

a different menu.

Thank you so much , Wade
