This Flagship of the Jeanneau fleet, represents the most accomplished shape of innovative architecture. Conceived by two designers of large yachts, Jacques Fauroux for the performance side and Vittorio Garroni for the comfort aspect, and project-managed by the Jeanneau design office, the Sun Odyssey 54DS offers a sailing experience designed to give a new dimension to your cruises, whether short or long haul.
THE COCKPIT
As you can see the yacht has a very large cockpit, which our own experience has told us is where you will spend most of your waking time on the yacht. The table can seat 6 guest and meals can be served either in the cockpit, weather permitting, or downstairs on the dining table.
There is lots of comfortable seating in the cockpit so you do not need to be on top of each other. The cockpit cushions provide that extra comfort you don't always find on charter yachts.
A large bimini for shade from the sun or rain, which can cover the whole of the cockpit area. The bimini can be put up and down in a matter of minutes at the guests request.
SWIMMING PLATFORM
There is a large platform at the stern of the yacht, which has a foldaway ladder that drops into the sea, giving you easy access back onto the yacht when you go swimming. This is a lovely area to sit if you just want to cool off and sit with your feet in the sea.
THE GALLEY
The galley is fully equipped with everything Karen will need to prepare your meals, including the all important fridge and freezer for those ice cold drinks.
LOUNGE AREA
The lounge area of the yacht has a dining area with seating for 6-8 guests and a separate seating area opposite.
STATEROOMS
There is a TV and DVD player with a selection of films for your enjoyment and also a CD player with choice of music which can be piped up onto the deck.
Each stateroom has a double bed which can be converted into two singles if required. All cabins have their own en-suite shower room with toilet facilities. It should be noted that the bedroom at the front, although still a double, is smaller than the two cabins at the rear. All cabins have a small wardrobe and shelves.
