David Ramage, a qualified shipwright, with both Master V and RYA Yachtmaster ocean going tickets, built METANI, his third yacht in 3 1 /2 years to sail the world.
As a young man his first love was rowing, and during the 1990s he represented Australia on 5 different occasions including the Tokyo and Mexico Olympics winning a silver medal during that time.
But sailing was to become his main interest in life, and during the last 30 years he has accumulated some 20,000 miles which has included ocean racing in the Roaring Forties to sedate sailing in some of the most beautiful and interesting parts of the world.
He now looks upon the Caribbean as his second home, with St. Vincent & the Grenadines being his favorite location.
Judy Ramage, chef extrodinaire and mother of three children, learnt her art over the yeas as she traveled and entertained internationally.
From an early age Judy was interested in cooking and her mother herself an award winning chef, taught her well. Judy delights in cooking all types of meals from Asian to Greek to French and while in the Caribbean specializes in the local cuisine with an emphasis on local fresh produce.
Versatility is her forte and she can cater for special diets with mouth watering results. With a college degree in Early Childhood Development she owned her own Preschool in Sydney before setting Out to sail the world on METANI. Judy adores children and welcomes families on board, knowing how to cater for their special needs.
