128’ Palmer Johnson

Captain: William (Bill) Sturgeon is from southern California. He holds both USCG and MCA Captain’s Licenses. Bill has worked on yachts ranging from 95’ to 230’and has been the personal dive instructor for Greg Norman on M/Y Aussie Rules as well as Dr. Jim Clark, the founder of Netscape. He has sailed the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Caribbean, South Pacific and Pacific Oceans in his ten years as professional crew. Bill graduated UCLA with a BA in Political Science. He enjoys photography, both on land and underwater, gourmet cooking, kayaking, scuba diving, inline skating and fishing.

First Mate / Engineer: Christopher Clodfelter is from North Carolina and holds a USCG Captains License and as soon as time permits he will be obtaining his first Engineering License.  Chris spent the first portion of his career at sea in the US Coast Guard.  Since then he has been on a wide array of motor yachts with extensive charter and fishing experience through out the Bahamas and South Florida.

Chief Stewardess: Ms. Jessica Ryan was born and raised in Vermont. Jessica is trained in Silver Service as well as being certified as a bartender by the New England School Of Bartending. She has worked on yachts from 100’ - 146’ over the past 5 years and has traveled New England, both Coasts of Florida, The Bahamas, and Caribbean. She graduated from Plymouth State University with a B S in Marketing and a minor in Communications. While attending Plymouth State she worked in the Information Technology Department helping students and factuality resolve computer issues. Jessica enjoys, snorkeling, gourmet cooking, photography, kayaking, inline skating, and reading.

Second Stewardess: Sarah McLaren is from Victoria, Canada.  She’s an avid sailor with experience in the Pacific Northwest and Caribbean. Sarah enjoys Sailing/boating, swimming, surfing, diving, hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, photography, travel, running and weight training.

Deckhand:  Mr. Dean Mackenzie is from South Africa and is a certified Open Water Diver as well as STCW certified. Dean is new to yachting, although a legacy, following in the footsteps of his Uncle and Brother both of whom have careers in the Mega Yacht Industry. Dean’s family owns a yacht sales and service business thus allowing Dean to grow up on and around the water.
