
Marc Wellnitz, Captain, Canadian-American
Captain Marc Wellnitz was born in Canada to German parents and grew up in the Caribbean. His diverse background allowed him the opportunity to learn German and Spanish. He began his career in yachting in 1990 and traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico, and the west coasts of Canada and the U.S. His passion for water activities is far reaching, including, sailing, scuba diving, skim boarding, water skiing, wakeboarding, and paddle boarding. He also has experience in free diving. In 1999, Marc received his captain’s license, and he now currently holds his 500 GRT license. He has acquired many other credentials over the years while running private and charter yachts. Marc is married and has two young sons who live in Florida.
Brian Rasmussen, First Mate, American
Brian Rasmussen grew up in the Midwest and began his professional career in yachting in 1997 after moving to South Carolina. He holds a 100 ton captain’s license and has worked aboard yachts that have extensively traveled throughout Mexico, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and the U.S. Pacific Northwest. He loves all water sports, his favorites being wakeboarding and surfing. Brian is married to Jackie, the chief stewardess.
Skye Tutungi, Chef, Australian
Skye Tutungi is from Victoria, Australia. She received her culinary training in Australia at the William Angliss Institute and has been working aboard motor yachts since 2009. Skye worked as a chef in fine dining restaurants prior to beginning her career in yachting. She is skilled in many different methods and styles of cooking, including French and Asian, however, her favorite style incorporates Mediterranean influences.
Jackie Rasmussen, Chief Stewardess, American
Jackie Rasmussen grew up in the Southeast living aboard a boat with her family. She has spent the majority of her life living on or by the water. Before working full time in the yachting industry, Jackie worked as a Dental Hygienist in Charleston, South Carolina. She began her professional career in yachting in 2005. Since then, she has traveled the U.S. East coast, Bahamas, and the U.S. Pacific Northwest. Jackie is also a scuba diver and enjoys paddle boarding and beach activities. She is married to Brian, the first mate, they have been married almost a year.
Vitalliy Drobina, Engineer, Ukrainian-American
Vitalliy Drobina was born in the Ukraine and holds dual citizenship. He is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian. He began his yachting career as an engineer in 2003. He has traveled throughout Europe and the Caribbean. He currently holds a 3000GRT Engineer officer’s license. Vitalliy is an experienced scuba diver, the yacht’s safety officer and our expert on fireworks.
Brooke Aretz, Stewardess, American
Brooke Aretz grew up in Minnesota and learned about the yachting industry during a backpacking trip through Europe and Asia. She began working aboard private and charter yachts full time in 2007 and she traveled throughout the Caribbean and Europe. Brooke loves adventures and two of her favorites have been hiking across Spain and road biking down the U.S west coast. She enjoys Bikram yoga, bicycling, and wakeboarding.
Travis Ahlf, Deckhand, American
Travis Ahlf grew up in Seattle, Washington but has had the opportunity to live abroad in Germany. He has also traveled throughout Asia and Europe. Travis began his boating career in 2005 working on cruise ships based in Alaska, Hawaii, and the U.S Pacific Northwest. It was there that he developed his deck and service skills. He enjoys snorkeling, paddle boarding, and extreme beach volleyball.
