Captain Robert has been a professional in the yachting industry for the past 14 years. Qualified as both an RYA certified captain and a MCA yacht engineer. He was born and raised in northern England, at age 18 gained his captains license and set off to find his way within the yachting industry.
Robert has worked all across the industry from transatlantic racing of sailboats to being an engineer aboard mega-yachts. He most recently chartered 60 to 100 foot luxury motor-yachts in the Sea of Cortez, Mexico Caribbean & Bahamas. Captain Robert has clocked over 100,000+ sea miles gathered over three Atlantic crossings, two Panama canal passes and extensive cruising of the Mediterranean, Caribbean, East Atlantic, Pacific Mexico, USA and Canada. He is also a competent Electrical and Electronic Engineer, and Diesel engine engineer. Robert loves diving, snorkeling and photography. When it comes to fishing, Robert has fished two Bisbee Tournaments in Cabo San Lucas, landing Black and Blue fin Marlin up to 450lb. Robert promotes catch and release, but will certainly catch and cook a beautiful Mahi or Tuna during your time onboard.
1st Mate/Chef Abigail was born and raised in Texas. She received her SSI Rescue Diver certification in 2009 and has cruised on live aboard dive boats diving some of the most popular sites the Caribbean has to offer. She has worked on both sailing and motor yachts, most recently alongside captain Robert in Mexico as chef/stewardess aboard luxury charter yachts.
Abby loves yoga is happy to lead a class aboard the Foredeck of Much Gusto, she also loves rock climbing, wildlife, travel and healthy cooking. She offers a delicious taste of Caribbean cuisine, accentuating the local flare of the Islands with the freshest of produce and fish. Her experience and attention to detail make her an excellent hostess during your trip aboard Mucho Gusto.
