NANA Crew Profile
Captain: Matthew Mullins
Matt is a a RYA/MCA Yacht master with seven years’ experience of sailing the waters of Australia, BVI, Italy and the UK. I enjoy meeting new guests and dealing with any interesting challenges over the years. I love being involved on deck and in the water, as well as exploring new places and cultures.
Chef / First mate: Tara
Tara is a highly qualified chef, having spent two years in one of London’s top catering colleges, followed by 10 years working in some of the top restaurants and hotels in London. Wanting to travel I became a diving instructor and started exploring the world. I now have found a way to combine my two passions: cooking and the oceans. As a result of my training, when faced with issues like food intolerance's or allergies, I am quickly able to produce suitable alternatives without inconveniencing the customer. I really enjoy creating new menus and experimenting with new dishes, in order to provide our guests with a fantastic culinary experience.

Hi Matt and Tara,
Many thanks for a wonderful voyage of BVI adventure and fun, you have made our family feel fully at home on Nana. We have simply loved everything about our week in the BVI heaven, the sailing and finding great places to stay overnight.
Some revisited and some new - as done with a relaxed approach to schedules. The sundowners and other concoctions were perfect. The meals were all treated with great imagination and reflected our various wishes and likes each meal seemed better than the last.We have had a great time and are envious of the guests to follow who we know will be equally well looked after...
To the owner of Nana, Thanks for sharing Nana with us, you are fortunate to be so well represented by Matt and Tara.

Many thanks for such a wonderful week! We had the time of out lives, even if it did end before 8 pm every night ...lol
Our hope is for your continued success in bringing such joy to others.
We could have asked for more- but we couldn't have eaten it,
The weather better - but it don't know how,
The week more relaxing - but we would have fallen off the boat,
The food better - no the food couldn't be better,
The service, the care, the kindnesses, the effort - All over the top
Thanks for giving us so much more than we could have imagined.
This was a dream trip from every aspect.

Thank you for the sailing, the hospitality, the fun time and especially the food. This was a wonderful vacation and break from the real world. The best part was that everything was taken care of and we could just sit back and relax. It was fantastic to not have a care in the world and just take in the beauty of the Virgin Island. Hope to see you again soon

Dear Matt & Tara,
This was truly a wonderful family vacation, every minute was absolutely perfect, We can not believe it took 27 years to come back to the BVI. It is truly such a special place completely unspoiled,We had so much fun swimming, snorkeling, sailing, eating and even reading. This past year has been very busy so it was so nice to really relax and almost go off the grid. Both of you took so much pride in what you do which is such a special thing to observe and we really all appreciate it. We can not wait to come back to The Nana.
Many thanks The O'Brien Family

Dear Matt & Tara
What an amazing week and an honor to celebrate our folks' 40th wedding anniversary-along with the Queen's 90th birthday. We are leaving with incredible memories of our time together as a family, great pictures of these beautiful islands, and new skills of sailing and singing "God Save the Queen".
PERFECT Captain and Chef couple - from the time we stepped on board until we departed - 5 star all around service. Captain Matt had a story for everything and knew the very best snorkel spots, such a fun dry British humor ready with a witty comments. Tara - inspiring meals that were as beautiful as delicious, the joy for your craft shines through each dish and the fine details you perfect in every presentation.
Truly a magical journey for us all!
