Eugen Ercegovic – Yacht Master

Captain Eugen Ercegovic comes from family with long tradition and generations of captains and boat owners. Choosing to make the maritime world his trade, he first qualified himself by graduating at Faculty of Maritime Studies Split at 1985, later to become second lieutenant on intercontinental commercial. Eugen has logged many nautical miles in a great diversity of ships navigating the waters of many seas. After international experience he was ready to join his father in family business, on charter vessel. Eugen is a highly qualified captain and a great asset to the yacht and crew. With his leadership skills, hospitable personality and his long standing experience, together with his very positive and professional team he will guarantee the guests a highly enjoyable, safe and unforgettable stay on board this great vessel. Eugen is mainly a designer of SY Navilux, which was built from desire to provide best service on the best yacht in Croatia. Ivana Ercegovic– Chief Stewardess

After High school Ivana has decided to gather some sailing and hospitality services experience independently, outside of family business. For 2 years Ivana was hostess on private yacht sailing in Mediterranean. After that precious experience, Ivana has obtained Business degree at American College for Management and Technology in Dubrovnik. With her outgoing and friendly character Ivana easily creates good vibes among the crew and builds excellent team spirit. Her main goal is to provide additional value on all fields to family business on SY Navilux. Ivana has put her managing skills in the service of SY Navilux and guests on board. Not only that Ivana knows how to make people feel comfortable caring for their demanding needs, but she also carries a wealth of knowledge
Ante Ercegovic – 1st officer
Nationality: Croatian, Languages: English
Since he can remember Ante has been involved in family business. From the earliest years he has been learning how to manage and maintain the ship with his grandfather and father. After High School education, he couldn’t imagine to choose anything else but to continue the long tradition of his family.
This diligent student at Faculty of Maritime studies in Split is about to finish his education “Cum Laude”.
Still, that is not enough for Ante, since his family expects him to become one of the best captains in the family – and that is not an easy task. Ante is looking forward to present you his skills and hospitality on board of SY Navilux.
Chef Dragan Grbic, 34 years
Nationality: Croatian, Languages: English
Dragan is one of the most appreciated young Croatian chefs, dedicated to perfection without compromises. For Dragan, cuisine is not just food or immaculate presentation; it is a way of life, a credo, a philosophy and idea that guide him through the life. In his fruitful career, Dragan was constantly choosing to work on yachts and smaller exclusive restaurants where he was free to explore and bring new ideas. Part of his skill, experience and knowledge was presented in two of his books of recipes inspired by Dalmatian / Mediterranean cuisine. First one, issued in 2010, simply named “Dragan Grbic” was part of cook books collection “Known Croatian Chefs” while second one, named “Theater on plate” is innovative and contemporary cook book based on traditional Dalmatian meals.
This specialist in Mediterranean cuisine is also definitely well introduced with international gastronomy.
Dragan enjoys working for small groups, a surrounding that enables him to comply with food preferences of every person that is going to enjoy in his meals. Even there is so much more that can be told about Dragan and his imaginative cuisine, words and pictures are just not sufficient to describe his magic.
Dragan as a chef brings new dimension to Navilux; be ready to experience gourmet tour of your life on this elegant and beautiful yacht.
Steward/waiter: Robert Sormaz
Age: 46, Nationality: Croatian

Robert joined Navilux in season 2013. He has been chosen among many candidates for this position because of his bespoken reputation and impressive experience collected as a professional waiter literally around the world.
After making the choice in life that he wanted expand his horizon, he gained experience working as a waiter who constantly improved his position on major cruise line ships; on Royal Caribbien Cruise Line for 3 years and Carnival Cruise Line for 2 years.
His skills, knowledge and attitude brought him endless number of offers to work in the top restaurants around the world. Yet, Robert chose to settle for a while in New York where he worked in well-known prize winning restaurant Tovern On The Green in Central Park, for 3 years, later to join the staff at La Lanterna di Vittorio, Greenwich Village, New York for 6 years and Mona Lisa restaurant on 7th Avenue, New York for 4 years. As much as he liked his international career, he was eager to come back to Croatia, where again he had many choices in front of him. Robert decided to join one the most up-scale restaurants in Croatia - famous Hanibal restaurant on island Hvar for 6 years. Robert will say that patience and ability to multi-task are essential for the waiter, but we need to add that his pleasant, unobtrusive personality, genuine smile bring that “spark” that make Robert the perfect member of the Navilux team.
1st mate: Marin Klaric
Nationality: Croatian, Languages: English, Italian
After Maritime High School Marin gained his experience in both yachting as well as commercial shipping. Marin approaches his job in a very professional way. The captain of the Navilux will often say that Marin is born sailor, with natural talent for immaculate assistance in maneuvering of the yacht, giving unbelievably precise instructions based on estimations and predictions, or simply – his feeling of the sea and wind. Marin is truly devoted to his job and carries well balanced approach; he is simply there whenever you need him.
2nd mate: Srdjan Smailagic
Nationality: Croatian, Language: English
Srdjan or Sergio has been growing up with boats since his youngest years. He has been appointed crew member of Navilux from the beginning of its building so it is only fair to say that he really knows the yacht from inside. Sergio’s warm and kind personality has made him favorite crew member among the crew and highly appreciated among the clients. Always ready to help and work hard, reaching to assist other crew members, the kind of person that simply can fit in any role on board and he matches all with the great sense of humor.

NAVILUX can accommodate 12 guests in 6 cabins. The Master cabin has a double bed, shower and toilet. 4 Guest cabins have a double bed, shower and toilet. A Guest cabin has a twin bed, shower and toilet. NAVILUX is fully air conditioned through out. Crew has a separate heads and shower.
