Crew

Peter Limmer

Captain

Capt. Peter Limmer hails from New Zealand but soon got the travel bug and left for England where he started a mobile yacht painting company. This expanded to contracts painting mega yachts in France, Italy and Germany. He lived in Italy for 4 years and in Germany for 4 years. Peter arrived in the States in 1998. In 2002 he met the owner of Victorian Rose and started working on her refit in Canada.
Peter has done a lot of sailboat racing and crewed in one of the Fastnet races. He also owned a 32’ sport fishing yacht for several years. His hobbies are travel and ballroom dancing.

Chef/Stewardess: Meleah Gabhart
Meleah received a Masters in Biochemistry and took a nontraditional turn to bring science to the kitchen. She owned and operated a cozy bed and breakfast in Martin Co. IN while working as a professor at Vincennes University. Shortly thereafter, she opened The Depot, a cafe and music venue in quaint Hillsborough NC. Meleah also has guided, provisioned and cooked for elk hunting expeditions in the Colorado ragged wilderness.
Since 2013, off and on she has been chef and/or stewardess on various sailing vessels and yachts (when she is not sailing her 19ft daysailer on Jordan Lake).
She currently enjoys her role as stewardess and chef aboard the beautiful Victorian Rose.

The yachting industry has no global listing service to which all charter yachts must subscribe to, making it impossible to ascertain a truly up-to-date view of the market. Charter Index is a news and information service and not always informed when yachts leave the charter market, or when they are recently sold and renamed, it is not always clear if they are still for charter. Whilst we endeavour to maintain accurate information, the existence of a listing on Charter Index should in no way supersede official documentation supplied by the representatives of a yacht.
