Crew Profile

Captain: Richard Chadburn

Richard started sailing 30 years ago in dinghies around Chichester harbour, he quickly progressed into dinghy racing where he eventually won the ISO worlds in France in '99'. After university he spent 3 summers in Greece and Spain teaching dinghy sailing, windsurfing and keel boating. Richard then progressed into the world of superyachts and fell in love with the mixture of excitement, entertaining and high standards that a large yacht requires. He has worked on a variety of high profile yachts from 20m Swans racing the circuit, to a 72m 1920's classic motor yacht. Richard has a love of the outdoors and likes nothing more than sharing this with friends and guests, from sailing and kiteboarding to climbing and mountain biking. Richard has been skippering yachts for over 13 years now and loves having guests on board, showing them lovely quiet anchorages, great places to eat and going on great sails.

First Officer: Dylan Smook

Dylan comes from South Africa and has been sailing and working on boats for the last 7 years. He is a very competent yachtsman who has good knowledge and understanding for the sea. Dylan gained his experience in the industry working on both private and charter boats which has allowed him to see different aspects of the job. Working with a large variety of people in some great places around the world. Dylan is a very easy person to get along with, who has a good sense of humour and enjoys the outdoor life. He says he has always been drawn to the ocean and finds himself most at ease when sailing. Dylan has cruised the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Caribbean, Zanzibar Archipelago, and Mediterranean.

Dylan likes to spend his free time fishing, diving, swimming, playing football and rugby.

Chef: Libby McCann

Libby was born in the USA and was introduced to the yachting industry after completing her post graduate studies in Malta. She began the industry working as a stewardess on motor yachts before joining her first sailing yacht as a cook/stewardess. While gaining valuable experience in silver service during her first couple years, cooking is where Libby’s true passion and interest lay. During the past couple of years Libby has taken various cooking courses with an emphasis on nutritional and “clean” cooking methods. Her main goal is to provide guests with healthy, well presented meals that do not leave them feeling weighed down. That said; whether it’s satisfying your sweet tooth or craving for your favorite dish, she loves serving up the guests an indulgent treat!

Suzie comes from England and is an enthusiastic and dedicated stewardess, with a passion for working at sea. She grew up sailing in the Southern waters of England and has been sailing professionally for the last 5 years. She studied hospitality and Catering at college and is trained in a high level of service which can be tailored to suit your requirements. Suzie enjoys being creative with table settings and flower arrangements to add different elements to your stay. Suzie has Cruised the waters of the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, North and the Irish Sea.
