Captain: Bernard Calot

Bernard was born and raised in Valencia, Spain, where he honed his fishing and sailing skills. By the age of 12, he owned his own little boat. At age 18 his family moved to Canada where the winter was a little too cold, so he resumed his first love…sailing navigation. Previous yachts he has enjoyed working on are TIME FOR US, KEN KAYLA KASTLE, LADY SHARON, and LADY DEBORAH. Bernard also owns and charters his own 50’ powerboat ALLEY CAT. He speaks Spanish, French, English, and Italian. He enjoys being around his lovely wife Claire and son Rafael. Fishing, scuba diving, and entertaining people are some of his hobbies. He is also a great cook; specialty is Paella on the beach. Cruising experiences are, Mediterranean, Great Lakes, East Coast USA, Bahamas, Caribbean, Cuba, Golf of Mexico, and many more to come.


 


First Mate: Clemron Nanton

Clem grew up in St-Vincent And The Grenadines.He is a hard-working and fun loving team member. After finishing school, Clem worked in the cruising industry with Disney cruise lines for 7 years. Once he discovered yachting he decided to continue his maritime career in this industry and took all required courses. Immediately therafter he worked for 1 year on a 100' charter yacht before joining Olga. He is extremely service oriented and always with a huge smile! Hobbies: Fishing, music, watersport, organizing outdoor activities, racing


 


 


Chef: Claire Villemure


Age: 44 (Pisces)


Nationality: Canadian


Claire grew up in Quebec City in a family that likes to travel and cook… a lot! Her grandfather is a Parisian chef and teaches in a culinary school. She started in the yachting industry in Quebec as a relief chef. Previous yachts she has worked on are TIME FOR US, KEN KAYLA KASTLE, LADY SHARON, and of course their own vessel ALLEY CAT. She speaks French, English, and Spanish. Claire enjoys scuba diving, reading, fishing, cooking and “food chat” with passion. Her signature is her smile and her reward is when people onboard have a twinkle in their eyes around dinner time! Her cruising experience is: New England, St. Lawrence Seaway, Great Lakes, Chesapeake Bay, East Coast USA, Bahamas, Cuba, Caribbean, and many more to come.


Claire just recently completed her Cuisine francaise classique level #1 at Le Cordon Bleu de Paris.


 


 


Stewardess/Masseuse: Marisol Aradaza


Age: 32 (Scorpio)


Nationality: Philippine


Mirasol holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in hotel and restaurant management and a spa therapist certification. Prior to working in yachting industry for the last 3 years


she was employed as spa therapist at the Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa, she specializes in deep tissue and Swedish massage.  Marisol is a natural choice for Olga's professional crew team.


 


Stewardess: Ailan Jardin Balagtas


Age: 32 (Sagittarius)


Nationality: Philippine


Ailan’s nautical career started as croupier on board a cruise ship in 2000.  After 2 years she moved up to a stewardess position on board a large yacht owned by the Saudi Royal family.  Since then she has worked on several large high profile private and charter yachts, and fine tuned her considerable stewardess and hospitality skills.  She was promoted to chief stewardess in 2007.  We are delighted to welcome Ailan to the Olga crew.


 


Deckhand: Rafael Villemure


Age: 17, (Sagittarius)


Nationality: Canadian


Rafael grew up in the province of Quebec, and fluently speaks English and French. He is currently home schooled onboard and is also learning to speak Spanish; he would love to explore all areas of Central America. Some of his hobbies include, snorkeling, water tubing, traveling, fishing, and scuba diving. Rafael is also the ship's electronics wizard.

Fishing Mate: Vincent Torta


Age: 23 (Capricorn)


Nationality: French


Vincent was born in Guadeloupe and grew up around the islands. He literally started fishing before he could walk. He was told by his parents that he used to hand line off the dock when he was 2 years old. He caught his first Marlin when he was 9 and at 11 caught a junior world record Chum Salmon. To date, Vincent has caught more than 500 Marlins and has fished every major sea and ocean minus the Southern and Arctic. He is equally passionate and experienced in trophy salt, fresh and fly fishing. Vincent’s other interests include all water sports, golf, tennis and baseball. He speaks French, English and some Spanish.
