PANACHE Crew Profile
CAPTAIN: Gareth Schwegman's keen love of the ocean and first class seamanship skills were honed in his native South Africa on family sailing excursions off the coast of Durban and Mozambique. His father's sailing school which specializes in mega yacht crew training also play a huge role in Gareth's decision to join the yachting industry and obtain his captain's license. Gareth has crewed and run charter yachts throughout the Caribbean as well as New England and other areas of the US East Coast.
CHEF: Caroline Cazalet is from South Africa and was in the catering business prior to becoming a chef aboard charter yachts. She spent time racing dinghies for several years as well. She looks forward to providing charter guests with delectable fine gourmet meals and will provide each guest with customized food preferences and the dining experiences they will remember long after the charter has ended. Her caring and professional service will make your time aboard PANACHE unique and unforgettable.
MATE: Ryan Dunbar was raised in Durban, South Africa. He began surfing and surf-lifesaving as a child and was involved in sea rescues along the east coast of South Africa via helicopter. He lives for extreme sports such as dirt-biking, sky-diving and kite boarding. He is a very friendly and out-going person and is always up for a good laugh. Ryan is an electrician by trade but his love for the ocean made a career in yachting inevitable and has crewed yachts all over the Caribbean, Central and South America.
STEWARDESS: Cara Brand grew up in the coastal city of Durban in South Africa. Her love for the sun and sea began at a young age and has culminated in a career in yachting.
Being an Honors graduate in the field of Accounting, Cara is intelligent and focused, yet adventurous and creative. She is passionate about the earth, people, children, art, sport, travel and about living life. She loves making others happy and will endeavor to make your PANACHE experience as enjoyable and as beautiful as possible.
