CAPTAIN UMIT CETOK
Umit is 39 years old, married and has a 5 year old daughter. Umit has experience with such yachts as MS Gelidonya (28 m), MS Grandi (27 m, three times winner of Bodrum Sailing Cup), MS Cobra Junior (24m), MS Cobra King (36 m), M/Y Nira (35 m) and MS Sea Comet (29 m). Umit prefers to work on a charter yacht rather than a private one, as he loves people who come onboard, and he has a great talent to make guests happy. Captain Umit loves sailing, and knows cruising area to perfection. Our captain is a non smoker and has a good command of English.
CHEF IBRAHIM CAKIR
The range of Ibrahim “Ibo’s” cuisine is very rich and can hardly be framed with 7 days menu suggestions. Ibrahim cannot tolerate ready sources, half-ready cookies or pastry. Every day guests of Papa Joe you will be welcomed by fresh multi grained bread, rich variety of cakes and cookies for afternoon tea, mouth watering cold and hot appetizers “mezes”, healthy Mediterranean specialties, wonderful presentation and seductive desserts. Portions, way of cooking, ingredients used will not let guest of Papa Joe gain weight though, and that what our chef may guarantee despite impressive rich menu. Ibrahim is a great personality, he is married and father of 3 kids. Ibrahim loves sea and yachts and every crew member will tell you, that Ibrahim is a real seaman. His culinary career started with graduation as a cooking master from a specialized culinary school in 1993 and followed by a very impressive list of jobs: 5 years as kitchen chef in Color and Green park hotels of Istanbul, 2 years as sous chef of French restaurant “Dulcinea” in Istanbul, 1 year of experience with a Mexican restaurant (sous chef), followed by one year as executive chef in Nisantasi cafe restaurant (Istanbul). One more year Ibrahim polished his talents working in Italian restaurant, followed by a position of an executive chef in Sedir cafe restaurant of Ortakoy (Istanbul). Before joining Papa Joe team, Ibrahim was a kitchen chef in Topaz restaurant of Istanbul, Best Mediterranean Cuisine award winner in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Ibrahim culinary skills are not framed with one national cuisine, so without a single doubt Papa Joe guests may request eggs Benedictine for breakfast or lobster with a special French source for a romantic dinner, have most sophisticated Mediterranean fusion every day or ask for the oldest Ottoman pilaf recipe.
DECKHAND SEYHAN SAPANCA:
Seyhan is 34 years old, not married, and is with Papa Joe for 3 years. Seyhan is a real seaman, who knows everything about sailing, yacht maintenance, he is also a great help for service. Seyhan is Turkish by Nationality and was born in Foca, near Izmir area. Apart from his professional characteristics, his important trait is friendliness, team work, tactfulness and care for our customers. Seyhan is making sports and doesnt smoke. He is fit, has a positive approach to life, and is a self –motivated person.
DECKHAND HASAN EROL
Hasan is 23 year old, married, he joined Papa Joe this year. Hasan graduated from Milas Tourism and Hotel Management school (2004-2007). After graduation he decided to work in the sea, and joined several motor sailors (“Halilaga”, 2007,”Canimsin” 2008-2009, and “Primadonna” for the season 2011). Hasan is not smoking, loves sailing, fishing, diving, plays football and cooking. Hasan has a good command of English, he is friendly, and contributes to a good teamwork on the boat.
HOSTESS EVREN DERYASAN
Born on the 30th of May, 1979 in Izmir, Turkey. After finishing secondary school Evren studied in a tourism college for restaurant and bar management (graduated in 1995). In 1996 - went to England and for one year studied English in Kingston college. Later on she decided to upgrade her English and in 2007 studied in USA, Intrax International Institute, where she worked as a student ambassador. Evren’s work experience is versified, which is explained by her love to travel and her desire to try herself in different spheres. The scale of her experience varies from working “ala carte chef” in a 5 star hotel Grand Azur in Turkey (2001-2003) to general management of restaurant Barbarossa in Bulgaria (2004). Her yachting experience started with a sailing yacht “Obsession II” (French owned) in 2005 and later on with a VIP motor yacht “Hulya” in 2006.
From 2007 till 2009 Evren tried herself as a merchant in a BIKER DESIGN (vender), and travelled through every single state of America. Since 2009 year Evren committed with Papa Joe and we had three successful seasons with her. Evren has an international seaman license. She loves travelling, reading, music, meeting people and open for learning all the time.
ENGINEER SONER CABA
Soner is 32 years old, he graduated from Milas University (Turkey) with a diploma as an engineer. He got a great experience by working with private and charter yachts.
All the boats which make up the list of his working experience are the best gulets in the market: Kaya Guneri (30 m), Levent Kaptan (30 m), Fortuna (32 m), Regina (56 m). Soner is a non smoker, very fit, friendly, and coordinates great with the rest of the crew. His English is enough for daily communication.

PAPA JOE Accommodations
PAPA JOE can accommodate 10 guests in 5 cabins. The Master cabin has a king size bed, bath/tub, shower and toilet. 4 Guest cabins have a queen size bed, shower and toilet. PAPA JOE is fully air conditioned through out. Crew has a separate heads and shower.
